I started playing with web design when I was in the 7th grade and into pixel dolling (I wanted to be able to make my own website to display my dolls). But I've been experimenting with code and design ever since I was customizing my Neopets store and making Geocities profile pages.

I started with these two books and taught myself the basics of HTML/CSS from there. I don't remember exactly what they were called anymore ("Creating Websites Bible" and "Learn HTML in a Weekend" or something).
