I prefer verbal communication. More straight forward, no guessing this, wronging that. Though I've learned non-verbal language could add some depth to the communication. A simple hand gesture, an eye contact, raising an eye brow etc. In the new era of IT, where communication rely on thumbs, non-verbal has turned into emo-icon. Winking becomes ;), laughing to XD. Well, it adds easiness to optic fiber text msg, my msg always accompanied by at least one :)
Yes i usually notice non-verbal communication. Especially after watching "lie to me" series, Dr. Cal dazzles me. Using it appropriately had helped me getting through some social glitches. So i guess neither form of communication exist without the other, we all do non-verbal subconsciously.

No. Law abiding citizen does not mean they are always sane and calm. We all purposely say things to hurt people from time to time or lose control of emotions. No one can guarantee a law abiding citizen won't lose their sense. Learning self defense is more practical.

i used to steal, well, take keys from my neighbor's motorbike. We lived in country side. It was common for ppl to leave keys on motorbike. They still leave key on even after they found out i had habit taking it away.
