Not really. I hold it to be one of the things we presuppose when addressing the knowledge deficit. I likewise assume that the Earth revolves around the sun and that the moon is not made of green cheese but if you were to ask me to prove them empirically, I don't think I would do very well.

I like them each for different reasons. Agatha Christie writes eminently readable material with pleasing plot twists while Arthur Conan Doyle puzzles me and gives me delight in learning about Victorian psychology.

Those are three different questions. I'll tackle them one-by-one but I won't take the time to defend my views here:
      1) Yes, I do think that there exists non-relativistic, objective, natural truths.
      2) I subscribe to a Kantian view, that is to say, the transcendental idealism.
      3) I believe in pragmatic agnosticism, which is to say, I am unsure of whether or not there exists some higher power, believe that we will not or cannot know whether or not such a higher power exists, and subscribe to the idea that we should live moral, good lives regardless.

That's great! I'm very excited for you. For me, the decision was pretty easy -- I had progressed from thinking about a minor in English to a double major already. I compared the requirements between the double major and the dual degree and realized that I had actually filled a lot of the dual degree requirements already (language requirement literature requirement, science electives, etc.). At that point, it was an easy decision as I would be almost all the work for a dual degree if I only decided to pursue the double major. The honours part is a whole different story though. :)

Catching up on the entirety of my to-do list. But I'm now procrastinating by reading which is probably more productive.

It's hard to say how "corrupt" student government is -- to suggest that student politicians are genuinely EVIL (in all caps) would be to undermine a lot of progress that student politicians have made (e.g. U-Pass, new SUB, etc.). With that said, of course, there is certainly some pettiness at work in student politics which is to the detriment of students at-large. At the end of the day, elected student representatives are much the same as you or me: infinitely fallible. The role of the electorate is to hold their representatives accountable for the decisions they make as their delegates and as their trustees. If you don't like what you see, run in an election!

Chuck, the woodchuck would chuck all the wood that a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could (and would) chuck wood.

Hardly serious at all. Nicki and I want different things in life so it wouldn't work out. We're still good friends, though.

It changes depending on my mood but I'm partial towards Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks.

Spend time travelling around the world. And skydive -- I've always wanted to do that. Then, when my time is almost up, spend it with my family and friends at home.

Guess that's not really "one" thing, eh?

Graduating UBC and maybe getting into grad school! And maybe taking over the world. Y'know. NBD. =P
