Oh those are gorgeous! I would think they would look pretty good with most things, Tumblr is always a good source of inspiration (or perhaps try google image search for some ideas). Finally getting my kitty flats topyed - I always hate the look on the bottom of the shoe so try and hold out as long as possible...

Thank you! Best shoe although thinking that a version with a lower heel would probably have been more practical for me, although I suppose until then I will just risk vertigo. Which colour did you get? I'd love the plum/blush colorway but it seems completely sold out now..

I haven't gotten then TOPYed yet, although if I did I would take them to the cobbler by KK Malaysia on Ghuznee St - I have heard very good things - planning to take some shoes in there tomorrow to get re heeled so heres hoping the whisperings are on the mark!

Yes! I really like them in the crazy tort, for some reason it just makes me think of summer

I hating sounding cliche, but... I often get my boyfriend to take photo's of me in the weekend, or my mum, who used to take a lot of my photo's last year before I took a bit of a break from blogging. On the days when I have no one to take photo's for me, I use a tripod!

I don't think I can even accurately recall the number of times that this has happened to me, and usually it's with second hand purchases I have made on Trade Me or eBay, probably no surprises that this generally happens with Karen Walker.

I find that it can be hard sometimes shopping online, when you have no real expectation of what a fabric is going to be like, and even if you want it for ages (even a year or more), when you finally get it, there's a 50/50 chance it won't be what you were expecting from a photograph.

I try to scrutinise pictures before buying something just to avoid this, but there's always going to be something that just doesn't suit your body shape. Or is too big or too small. But then again I think my list of things I have wanted for ages is pretty huge - must be all that browsing I have done online in the past ;)

No worries! Dead Fleurette is great, one of my fave blogs. A pair & a spare also did a wardrobe cull post, and les anti-modernes has done a great post on foundation pieces. Good luck with your cull! x

I unfortunately have a bit of a bad track record of buying things in the spur of the moment because I love it instore only to later find it doesn't really go with my wardrobe. Or, when it comes to online purchases, as you can't try it on beforehand, it can be pretty hit or miss. I often buy things to find that they are far too large for me at the waist which I'm then forced to either re-sell or get tailored and the former tends to win.

I decide to sell something if it fits the above reason, or I find that it just isn't getting worn. You can't really anticipate how much you will wear something when you buy it, and what might seem like a hit may really be a miss. I've actually identified two purchases that just weren't right in my 30x30 challenge that I'm going to sell, that seemed perfect in the store but not so much once I got them home.

I did a huge cull last year before I went to America, and got rid of a lot of things that didn't fit with my lifestyle, as there's nothing worse to me than having something sitting there gathering dust. After coming back I realised that wearing heels every day was not exactly the best move, and so I sold a lot of those at the time and am all the more glad for it.

While you might like something, if you don't truly love it, and don't forsee yourself wearing it, if you get rid of it within a week, or month, you won't even miss it. If you're worried you will, pop it in a box, or in a closet in another room of the house and within a month if you haven't wished it was in your wardrobe then you know you can safely part with it.

Part of my huge cull was the realisation that I can't wear everything in my wardrobe when you have 300+ items, and it isn't necessary to even have that much clothing. Most of my clothing can do double duty - I wear it for work or for play, and then I have some dresses that are for special occasions, that I probably couldn't wear on a casual weekend, but I'm okay with that.

If you send me an email I can email you a bunch of links to different blogs and specific posts that might give you a bit of inspiration, or a virtual kick to help you with your clear out - my email is on the blog :)

Hi there - I bought the bon bon heels in an EU 40, and the Acne pistol boots in an EU 40 as well. In general I purchase this size unless sizing guides suggest otherwise. I've read that the Acne pistol boots can run large, so if you are thinking of buying them you should double check as different runs (colours also!) at different online stores can occasionally differ in sizing. Sizing for the Chloe Susan boots is a case in point.

I really like them, and have been scouting out a black pair on eBay for a while to no avail. They are a great pair of every day boots and the heel isn't too high. I actually bought a pair last year I think it was, in the beige, but the colour didn't suit me, and I regret not having gone for them in the classic black! You live and you learn ;)

Hi there - I actually got mine from GaG, the short sleeved a-line version :) Can't wait to pick up my millie dress from there next week, loving Lover so much this season

I haven't put it in the wash yet so haven't encountered that problem. I'll probably do a quick cold hand wash though - I find that's the best way to avoid those kinds of problems

No I haven't, and I'm admittedly hopeless in this sense - the number of times my PS11 has gotten drenched in rain.. well.. more than I can count. Thankfully as my bags are black I haven't noticed any damage or anything although if I were to buy a coloured bag I might look into getting a cleaner.
I would try doing some research on the purse forum - I'm sure you could find a good recommendation there.

I've had mine for a little over a year now, and can say that it's held up extremely well. The bag itself is quite structured unlike the PS1, so the shape hasn't changed much if even at all. I actually managed to drop my bag on gravel (I know - only this would happen to me), and the small scrape is only noticeable when I've gone looking for it, the leather is incredibly durable. It's a thick slightly pebbled leather, which would explain why. If it helps, I've used it virtually every day of that past year, and even taken it out when I've gone for drinks with friends (which is when I tend to be a little bit more careless). For me, it's been worth every penny, and I wouldn't hesitate going back in time and buying it all over again :) Hope that helps!

I actually answered this question before here: http://www.formspring.me/xjaimeee/q/368351223964792893

I tend to go out and meet friends for a drink or a coffee - in addition to the places listed, I also frequent Library and Dragonfly for drinks. It's always worth seeing what movies they have a the Archives if you're into that sort of thing. Pretty sure that the Japan film festival is on there soon (perhaps even this week)

The drycleaner that I swear by is I think.. City Drycleaners on Lambton Quay - it's at the Railway Station end next to the Kodak store.

As for a cobbler, I always go to the place on Willis St in the arcade (where the bus stop is) - the name escapes me but I think it is Keyz and Shooz. If you are getting TOPY soles on the bottoms of your shoes, I would request the colour if you can. I got black ones (why they chose black I wish I knew) put on the bottom of my Isabel Marant poppy heels and I knocked the inside of my shoe while wearing them and managed to get a black mark on the inside from the TOPY sole :( Otherwise I have had no problems with them

I actually tried on the navy stripe version when the collection came into stores as I loved it from the lookbook - KW does a great breton tee, and the prints give them a more playful vibe. It's very cute, but unfortunately was a little short on me (I prefer my t-shirts to fall to about hip length or a little longer)

There's so many great places - Matterhorn is one of my faves (which would explain why I was there last night), they have an extensive wine list and their tapas menu is pretty delicious.

I also really like Deluxe/Maranui/Diamond Deli - as a vegetarian, I find that they have a great combination of tasty yet healthy choices and sweet treats, and I like the fact that there are plenty of gluten-free and vegan options as well. If you're in the Lyall Bay area, Elements is also worth a visit for a weekend brunch.

I'm also quite fond of places like Ancestral, Duke Carvell's, The Larder and CoCo at the Roxy (in Miramar), Capitol, Sweet Mother's Kitchen, and Havana Bar (their tapas plate to share is incredible paired with good company and a bottle of wine).

I usually take a "packed lunch" with me to work, but on the occasions that I don't, RahZoo and Word of Mouth usually have a good selection of salads or other mouth-watering treats.

It isn't too hard to find somewhere good to eat in Wellington, although I always find myself going to the same restaurants. Must be the familiarity!

Aw you're so sweet, thank you! And yes, love those Ksubi's and have been eyeing up a pair for myself in either the faded black or a light blue denim. I like the idea of sizing up so that they are on the looser side
