2011 was pretty fantastic, but I'd never want to relive any year. Always push forward!

I think it's pretty clear, based on my Canadian heritage, the answer is darts.

Answering stupid questions, of course!

Fan Expo is nice and all, but PAX East is so massive and focused on my industry that it makes the most sense from a coverage standpoint. Also, my friends go to PAX East... so it's an easy decision.

Some gamers only care about game release dates, patch notes, and media. Some care about the business side (financials) and legal drama.
Not every piece of content is formed to be generally consumable. Liken it to an actor's movie choices: sometimes an actor will pick a big blockbuster role because it's what makes "money" but later choose a small indie flick for personal reasons.
I can't post stories about cakes and toys anymore. We don't do it at Shack. It's not that there's anything wrong with it, but it's a side of the gaming culture I have no interest in. Thankfully, Shacknews has a legacy of ignoring that kind of content.
We do post standard news, but we also do a lot of features and interviews. We cover business. We cover legal issues.
Whether or not someone finds a particular aspect of the industry interesting, doesn't make it less about the industry or less meaningful.
