heyy it's labret girl again. i got it in a shop named Tribe here in Malacca. hmm the piercer didn't say anything about eggs/seafood. and i ate eggs just now. hopefully nothing bad will happen. :/ how much did you have to pay for your piecing? mine is rm75
is he/she a professional piercer? a pro would've told you the do's and don'ts of piercing and the aftercare.
it's just a labret so most probably just a slight swell and a little pus. but like i told you before, it also depends on individuals. hope for the best. don't forget the mouthwash.
i had mine done for free. haha. the perks of having piercers as friends, ay.
here in kota kinabalu, the standard price is RM60 (without stud) and RM100 (stud included). RM120 for one surface piercing and higher for genitalia piercings.
oh, one more thing. please use only titanium and/or surgical steel jewelry (stud).
hope this helps.
:)
i just did my labret last wednesday :) any care tips you'd like to share?
yay! where did you had it done (the piercing shop, i mean)?
1- if you hate antibacterial mouthwash, use saltwater.
2- stay away from eggs and/or seafood.
3- always wash your stud using antibacterial soap before you put it back on.
4- for the first couple of weeks, try not to play with you labret (pulling it in and out, for example).
that's it, i guess. but i reckon your piercer told you this too.
:)
oh ok thanks. i nvr bothered with the antiseptics. but i thought like, u're not encouraged to take the piercings out before it heals completely? by cosmicmishap
the duration which you're not supposed to take out your piercings depend on which body/facial part you pierced and whether you had it done professionally (meaning using sterile piercing needles) or conventional piercing guns (but it varies between individuals too). i highly recommend you go professional to avoid accidental tearing of your veins.
for my cheeks, i had to leave them on for a about a week before i can take them out and properly wash them (three days for my snakebites, septum and labret). during which, i used saltwater as mouthwash (because i don't like mouthwash). never use alcohol. and i used saline solution (a professional piercer will provide a few packs for you) to soak and rinse my piercings externally.
did ur cheek piercing hurt? or get any sort of infection? coz my lip did, so i had to remove it :(
answer to both questions; nope.
it was relatively painless. and my cheeks piercings didn't get infected at all. i took care of them. i washed my piercings everyday (i take them out daily and washed the studs with antiseptic soap). also, i used salt water as mouthwash. saltwater helps the exit wounds to heal faster.
you should put an antiseptic cream on your piercing. i highly recommend dettol antiseptic. but if you want a painless option, use benpanthen antiseptic healing cream.
hope this helps!
you are so unique. i just love to see girls like you. the way you express everything, i adore that :P
i don't know what's unique about me but you seem to have seen something in me and i think that's really sweet. and as for expressing things, i have a firm believe in the idea of freedom of speech. that malaysia restricts such behaviour upsets me so as a result, i channel my frustration (and etc, of course) at my blog. thanks!
hey ana, i stalk your blog everyday till now, cos your english are like tres-awesome! nice blog btw.
hello, hello!
i am humbled by your compliments. thank you so much for both the compliment and for following my blog. i'm constantly learning to improve my english. i hope my blog benefits you the same way it benefited me.

i'm not mad. in fact, i was rather entertained! :D
what's your name? it's kind of weird calling you the online person. you can use a fake name, if you want.
is that a sarcasm or a compliment? lol. -the 'online' person
it's merely a question. i am simply corresponding to your statement. :)
