There are a lot of great coffee spots in Chicago. I've thoroughly enjoyed the Bourgeois Pig and Iguana Cafe, and every coffee shop on campus down in Hyde Park. I love coffee from Intelligentsia, Ipsento, Metropolis, and La Colombe. I also really like "Kyle's Go Juice" at Publican Quality Meats on Fulton.
But my favorite has to be Overflow (http://overflowcoffeebar.org/, @overflowcoffee), because I love their pro-social mission. They've got great (Coffee Ambassadors) beans, and they chose their location because they saw a need for more public, social spaces in the neighborhood. There are a lot of great coffee shops, but few of them inspire me toward community the way Overflow does. -
