      I would have to say Frank Herbert's Dune just to see--or even ride--a sandworm. Or possibly China Mieville's Bas-Lag for all the strange beings within it.

      I run a movie contest each year as well and really like your deviation scoring. My problem is on the missed movies. Is picking a movie that isn't in the top 20 at number 15 really any different than picking a movie at number 8 that isn't in the top 20?

      It is different because of the weighted scores. The number one pick gets a weight of 20, whereas the number 19 pick gets a weight of 2. Differences are multiplied so the top picks matter more.
