Haha, I'm not sure! Maybe because women are not seen as interested in sex as much as men, so when they dress provocatively it's hot since that suggests they want sex? I'm no expert though!

As you mentioned, it is most definitely one of the most beautiful books ever written, and that is partially why it is my favorite. At first I was upset that such a poetic book was written about such a horrid crime. But then I realized that, in fact, Humbert's love was real -- perverted, but real. (By the end, that is.) And in realizing that, I found it to be the most painfully beautiful love story I had ever written. As someone who romanticizes and looks at most things with rose colored glasses, the dichotomy of the beauty and the pain truly struck me as brilliance. So it's a combination of the raw eloquence of the text and the realization of what I believe Nabokov was telling in the story that makes Lolita my favorite book. =]

Let's see...ten years, 31. As a special ed teacher, perhaps in an inner city school, rather poor but in a little house with a cute garden and a puppy. Perhaps with the love of my life, or perhaps alone...I am coming to find either could be lovely. Mostly, I just hope to be happy, and helping people.

I shall describe my yesterday, since today isn't over yet! I woke up at 6am, went to the gym and had a wonderfully satisfying workout, had a yummy parfait at the gym cafe, and went home and snuggled with my dogs for a while. I drove to the library, checked out way too many wonderful books, and sat outside and read for hours, it was glorious. I came home, went out for Chinese with my mom, played with the dogs a bit more, went on tumblr for way too long, and went to sleep. Not super exciting, but a lovely day nonetheless!

I used to smoke weed frequently, though that is the only drug I've ever done. As I could be drug tested at my job, smoking no longer fits the life I wish to live, but I will say I am quite fond of many of the people I met while smoking. They, in general, were more accepting and relaxed, which I love. Not to mention we can have lovely silly and overly deep conversations!

At first I want to say Egypt, because I went there once and it was an absolutely glorious trip. I have been lucky enough to travel to many places, though, so I decided I shall choose one I don't remember very well -- Italy. (I went there when I was 6 months old, so I don't remember much!) I love cooking, so to take cooking classes and photograph the beauty and meet new people and learn about the culture would be just heavenly for me.

What a wonderful question! This shall sound terribly ridiculous and overly idealistic, and it is, but it's my wish so poopoo on that! I would wish for people to treat each other with kindness, always. That doesn't mean no hurtful words would ever be said, but rather that they would be said with purpose, to help the other person, instead of out of cruelty. It would be an even more beautiful world if that could happen, and make me ever so happy.
