I miss Saturday morning cartoons. It was such a "thing". We had to wait until that morning to watch the cool cartoons. Remember them? Smurfs, Thundercats. Wonder Twins...I could go on and on

I am not adventurous to have done what I think you are getting at, but one day I will share a secret with you. For now I will say that I love to check out the shoes other women wear because I am too poor to buy fancy shoes and to clumsy to wear them

I'm in the Christmas spirit and would like to know: what is your favorite Christmas movie (and why)?
asked by kimberlyMy favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story. I just love so much about it, the leg lamp, the dad calling it fra-gel-a, the bit in the Chinese Restaurant is HYSTERICAL and of course the tounge-to-pole....

wow..tough one....Ok...
Day 1 I travel to Washington DC and visit all the museums that make up the Smithsonian I suspect that will take all day. I have always wanted to see them. I would also try and squeeze in a visit to the Library of Congress
Day 2 I would head to NYC and spend the day seeing Broadway shows, I would see Wicked, Billy Elliot, The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia & West Side Story.
Day 3 I would spend the day donating as much as I could in 24 hours to shelters that help abused children and other charities that support the care and protection of these kids. There were no places like that when I was a kid and needed the help and protection and I never want another kid to grow up and be able to say that. -
I would love to come see you!!! I wish I had the $$ but LC11 seems so far away so maybe if things get a little better this coming year I might run away from home and Amtrak or Bus it to spend a day with you!!! But I miss you Abbey!!! No one has ever made me laugh the way you did!!! You radiate happy!!

I really enjoyed Night Sins by Tami Hoag. I also really like the early Kay Scarpetta books by Patricia Cornwell and the early Alex Cross books by James Patterson. Sherlock Holmes isn't bad either.

Yep. First if you don't rush him it will be easier when he is ready. Also, we started with everything sitting until he had it then moved to pee standing. For Joshie what we did was have a cup of M&M's. He loves them but doesn't get to eat a lot of candy so it was a treat. Every time he went pee in the potty he could have 1 & every time he went poop (sorry for the tmi any non parents) he could have 3. It worked like a charm. But the thing I think that made Joshie easier to potty train than my older 2 is that we went on his time table not ours. He went from diapers to big boy undies in 3 weeks.

I really, really disliked Math with every ounce of my being. English I loved. In college I took every English course I could..Children's Lit and Mystery & Detective Lit were just wonderful.

I would like a big fat amazon.com or B&N gift card or one to Kohls since I now have exactly 1 pair of jeans that fit properly. But it's a tough call, naked and books or clothes and nothing to read...*giggle*

Harry Potter, but you probably knew that since it is how we know each other so I will tell you that aside from HP my favorite book is..urgh so hard, I have read so many good books this year (I listed them on my blog). Ok the best book I read this year was Hunger Games.

Sometime around Oct 2007 my daughter who was just turning or had just turned 7 asked if she could read the Harry Potter books & watch one of the movies that was on. She reads way above her level so I knew she was able but didn't know if I should let her. Rewind back to when my oldest was younger the first couple of the books were out and we had them hoping he would be interested in reading because of them but it didn't work and they went unread past the first couple of chapters of SS. Then we became new Christians and there was all the hoopla that the books were bad and witchcraft was bad and so I didn't have anyone to ask about it so I figured I would be careful and just avoid them. But then fast forward back to 2007 and my oldest is 15 and the then about 7 year old wants to read them. So I say yes but we would read them together. We took them out of the library and read them together. Then when it be came clear our voices were not going to hold out and that we couldn't read out to loud fast enough or long enough to get through them as a family we borrowed from the library the audio books. We finished all of them in about 2 weeks (I read them on my own at the same time). I was instantly in love!!! I feel silly for having waited so long. Now while my 2 youngest & my hubby love HP I am the most hooked/in love!

Hmmm, do you mean aside from the same one everyone has, to win the lottery and have TONS of money?
My current biggest dream is for by Feb 2 when he turns 18 for Ryan to start doing well in school and get and hold a job and be a bit more well behaved so he can continue to live at home until he leaves for boot camp in July. -
Without a drop of hesitation the answer would be Massachusetts. My mother-in-law, who I love dearly and so is Patty who I also love dearly. And since LC Boston has become my favorite city. And the Sox play there!!
