      how about in formal papers? i find it hard to have fun with my writing in those types of writings.

      You can absolutely have fun in formal papers. The tone has to be kept more formal, but that becomes part of the fun. The trick, in my experience, is to pick a fantastical topic, or angle on a topic, and then play it completely straight for the length of the paper. Your professor will forgive much in thanks for a paper that is different, that makes him or her smile.

      As you should be able to see from my previous answers, I am an adamant proponent of having fun with your writing. Any writing prompt can be fun if approached from the right angle.

      Why keep it kind of formal?

      do you have any grammar books or writing style books to recommend? i'm not doing too well in english.

      It's hard to go wrong with Strunk & White's "The Elements of Style". (Fun Fact: The White in question is E.B. White, author of "Charlotte's Web".)

      i like google+ too and wish that ppl would catch on. facebook is becoming like the nxt myspace for a year or so now. anyway, how's life? :)

      Yes. I like it, and I like Google. Google+ is all the best bits of Facebook over its history, without being Facebook.

      On the Casey Anthony trial—you think guilty or not-guilty? [I haven't kept up w/trial but the lit'l I just heard, I'm thinking Guilty. No excuse for killing own child. If she's not, $$ is talk'in.]

      Totally guilty. At the very least she obstructed justice by not telling anyone that her daughter was dead for a month, lying about it when it came out, and helping hide the body. I haven't kept up with it all that much, but form what I've heard her defense seems absolutely schizophrenic and complete conjecture.

      My son is having some friends over for a birthday party. Would it be inappropriate if I were to sniff the guests?

      How old is your son? No, wait, strike that; I can think of an adequate reason to sniff your son's friends regardless of their age --- though a different reason per age group. Absolutely you should feel free to sniff the guests, but do take care to do it subtly.

      Hey, can goblins be considered part of the Fae, or are you a whole other species, rather than a race inside a Philum?

      We are totally of the Fae, though neither goblins nor faeries would regard kindly that they share blood -- both maintain that the other is a wayward evolutionary off-shoot.

      I don't think that all of those are legitimate genres. I like movies that move me.
