I'm having a mental breakdown. I've liked this guy for 7 years, plus and he's known. We grew up together, did homework, taught eachother and he was my first everything. But he's never tried to hold my hand, or wanted to be my boyfriend. It hurts watching
Well I hope you realize you can't make someone love you. Regardless how much you think you love them. And why would you want to settle for something less then true love?
I'm sure he loves you too. It may not be the same type of love, but the love that can only be found in friendship.
As for avoiding him, I don't see any reason why you should. Unless of course you feel uncomfortable being around him.
One day we will all find true love, sometimes it takes time. XO
