I don't know, but I'd just like to say that VT is much more interesting than TV. ;D

Jokes, Xig, jokes. Nice try, though. <3 Besides, isn't the sheer force of your personality and the title 'Xigbar' alone enough to strike fear and awe into the hearts of all who cross your path? A user group would be redundant~

When you reach 20,000 posts, remember?
Okay, well, once before, we have handed out unique/individualised user groups to a couple of members, which they won in a raffle drawing. So far, this is the only legitimate way to earn your own usergroup; Stace was in charge of it then, so you'll have to ask her if she's ever planning to have it as a prize again.
PS: We don't accept bribes.
No, really, we don't. >> -
Even on sites like that VT, that may tend to be a problem; we're very sorry about that! If you have a one x one search thread up, make sure you have listed all your possible genres or current cravings, and it helps if you list other facts about yourself as a roleplayer, as well as any plots or characters you have floating around in your head. Remember, you can bump your thread after 7 days have passed, and may edit its details as you see fit. You can also link to your search in your signature, or even in your Cbox handle.
That's only half of it, though! There are always many other roleplay searches posted in the One x One Searches subforum; take a look through them and don't be afraid to ask other members if they'd like to RP ___ with you!
(The official pairing list [ http://www.visionary-tales.com/index.php?showtopic=1281 ], while not comprehensive, might give you some idea about which people play m//, if you'd like to narrow it down.)
Last of all, don't hesitate to PM a staff member! We can help you find a RP partner; we do our best to know and understand the RPing preferences of all our members. -
It depends; which browser are you using? Try another one and see if the same thing happens. Unfortunately, we'll need more information to help you. Feel free to get in contact with one of the staff members over Cbox or instant messenger if you can't send personal messages. (Dakhath is the best person to contact for technical issues such as these.)

Sure, no problem. With IF boards, you have to use the "align" bbcode tag. To center, it looks like this:
[align=center]
This should be centered.
[/align]
And here's a screenshot of Dak's signature as another example:

Aw. Thanks. We try. See? We aren't tyrants. >>

Unfortunately, one user requested that we remove it. The complaint was that their security program kept them from visiting VT with it on. We might try putting it back for a few days - see how that goes.

Sorry, but probably not. For one thing, role playing posts are more about the content than the style of their text. For another, people are too enamored with tiny fonts. You might have noticed that it's actually very difficult to post in a very tiny font on Visionary Tales. This is 100% intentional.
Finally, although it is a minor risk, it's still a security risk. Sorry about that. -
Since historical group role plays are really rare, not only does it mix up the list of harder achievements to attain, but it's also there to push more historical group rps to be born.
Sorry 'bout that. -
You'd have to be the one initiating the RP search/thread.

Yes. We are aware that there are younger members on our site, so we take them into consideration. It's for this reason that we request that all topics with mature content be marked as 'mature' or 'M,' and if we do see a topic that we would consider to be mature, we'll mark it as a mature accordingly.

Will Bite, Typo King and Shadowed Fiend are the unique member groups/titles of Sister Badger Me I Will Bite You, Lukie, and Dins Daughter respectively; they won the opportunity to choose them in a raffle draw during VT's birthday last year.
As for the three Members groups... if you're in the Member List, the first two listed look to be glitches - it is the third group listed which contains the majority of VT's members. We'll have an admin check into that. -
They are similar, but not identical. In one x one search, you can search for role-plays based on genres, plots, pairings, limits, and anything along those lines - even characters.
In character search, you may or may not specifically be looking for a roleplay; you may just want to find a character that works well with yours, for plotting reasons, discussions, or even chatplays.
Character search is also more specific, especially if you want to pair your character with another one of a specific type. For example, if you want to play Harry Potter as a canon character, and you want him to be paired with a female Slytherin OC who plays Quidditch, then you would post that there... because it might be hard to find someone who plays a female Slytherin OC Quidditch-player just via a one x one search.
As you can probably see, however, our Character Search subforum is hardly ever used. If you happen to have any doubts about where to post a topic, just PM a staff member and we'll be happy to help. -
We're actually working on those as of now, however, we have not set an exact release date. I can tell you an approximation~ but there is no fun/surprise in that. ;D
Rest assured there will be one in the future. -uber!helpful- ^^b -
Bring it to the attention of any admin or any staff member you feel comfortable to talk to about your problem head to head. I believe that's the best route to go with in a situation regarding a moderator. We don't bite, promise. Keep in mind, you'll have to speak for yourself, and shouldn't assume others are having the same issue nor should you speak for someone else. <<
Keep in mind, that staff will try to remedy the problem - so please no reporting a problem then asking to not say anything to anyone, because that'll leave the individual with a "WTF do I do" moment. Unless of course, you mention that you just want someone to rant to, that's okay too, just be clear about it in the beginning. ^^b -
Everybody has their own little spark, and nothing makes one new member better than the other. When we update the member feature, we try our best to give a snapshot of the new member and make them feel welcome to the site. Of course, there are nine different staff members who contribute to updating the member feature, so different things stand out to different people, and each staff member has a different style of tributing our new community members.
For instance, Dak and Dae have a bad habit of just summarizing/telling people to say hi (and it's Dak's fault for setting the example in the first place). Blaire is more likely to call people awesome or badass.
Really, we think you're all awesome. It would just look strange if we said that every time.
