The AASU Calendar is mainly a resource to find out what events are coming in the future. The date for these events are set in stone, but the location and times of these events are not determined until up to a week before the event starts. This is why, for example, you see TBAs for rooms during sub-org meetings.

To find out the exact details of events, just look the events up on Facebook. If we can get details on the calendar, I will let you know.

      Thank you,

      AASU Webmaster

The Asian American Student Union at UF is open to all students of all different races. I assure you that if you were stared at, it's because you are new and we simply want to get to know you more. We already have people from all different and mixed ethnic backgrounds, including those who are not of Asian descent, and many of them are officers in AASU.

Yes, we are now updating the website more often and we will update it frequently so you can stay up to date with the latest events in AASU and it's sub-orgs.

There is no application to become a member of AASU. You can join any time during the school year by following us or any of our sub-organizations on Facebook, Twitter, and our Listservs. Also come out to our meetings and events and sign in and come meet us.

Generally, we will have themes for the majority of our meetings, but it's just for fun. We still do our own thing. I think the reason why we're so bold with our themes is the fact that we're all closely knit. I know it might look kind of strange from a third person view, but it might make more sense when you go there. Bring a friend or something so you won't get too weirded out! I went to a cultural meeting that's not of my race and everyone kind of just stared at me. The next time I went, I just brought a friend and we just goofed off and made things less awkward. Hopefully these suggestions help you out and hope you come out!
