i haven't had any problems, but they are a little scratchy so it's worth coating a little anyways just to create a softer surface coming into contact with the face (just against the nose, like the rubber pieces on actual glasses)

if you WANT a silicone cap, get 7/8. a mohair wig will be very big though. 6/7 wigs generally fit best and don't need a silicone cap. leeke wig sizes vary with each wig but the 6/7 (6.5 technically) ones I've tried on sparrow have fit great. the problem with shushus and wigs is that the wig has to sit far forward because of the shape of the head, so 7/8 wigs usually eat up the forehead and/or the cut/style doesn't frame the face naturally. really it's best to just buy some wigs and see what you like best.

pay close attention to the texture of the head while you're cleaning... it'll feel rough or smooth. once the head is dry it's easier to see any remaining MSC if you look closely (there's going to be something visible, it won't just blend in with the resin). especially look in the corners of the eyes and mouth, and inside the ears. if you have a hard time getting MSC out of hard-to-reach places, take a clean toothbrush (ie, dedicated to this purpose -- please don't use one you've used on your teeth before or plan to use on your teeth in the future) or eyebrow brush and go at it! or you can carefully poke at it with a needle or pin.

i've never been picky with soap. i use dial foaming hand soap because that's what i have by the sink for washing my hands. just make sure you rinse the head thoroughly and let it dry for an hour-ish (it varies based on the resin's density; some resin is more porous and will hold more water), cuz trapping soap or moisture under your MSC won't do you any favors.

hmmm brennil.com, ateliermomoni.com, etsy (sugardollshop, paperdollproductions, plumeblanche, wimukt, ttyacom, kirikadawn... i don't necessarily own something from each of those but they're all great shops that i watch on RSS, and doing a search for unoa, minifee, or narae on etsy usually turns up a lot of neat stuff)... i like buying from seamstresses rather than companies because the clothes usually have better proportions and it's easier to find stuff made for slim minis rather than childish MSDs.

i'm glad they went with a fresh sculpt rather than rehashing older versions like they did with the '10 juri... though i really wish they would stop taking pics of their blank heads from underneath, because it's NEVER flattering for any of the sculpts. it's a fun and goofy sculpt, and i'm looking forward to seeing what artists will do with it. i'd also love to paint one, but wouldn't want to own one.

i'm actually a really bad person to ask T_T;;;;;;;; i have very few ltf clothes lol (sorry it took me forever to answer this... i completely forgot i had any Qs waiting)

i was thinking about that the other day... i feel really bad that it's been so long (especially since i reeeeally miss doing photostories) but honestly i dunno when i'll be able to start them up again :/ i'd love to give some sort of definitive date, but there's a ton going on right now so i'm not really sure. even if i get the chance to shoot some photostories, i might keep them for a while until i have a backlog built up (especially since i might end up having to shoot them out of order).

oops, sorry i didn't answer this sooner... been busy and didn't notice i had a question!

i haven't done any extensive modding (at least nothing involving adding on... i'm not very good when it comes to sculpting). i've done some minor sanding mods. i've modded san's ears and fingernails to be pointier, and i modded piper's ears so they were human instead of elven.

LOL....... y'know what, 100% serious, i was thinking this question to myself yesterday morning (not asking myself why i was amazing, but i mean i was asking the question from a writing standpoint), although it was "awesome" not "amazing". i was thinking of funny responses, and my favorite was "i'm not awesome, you're just less awesome than i am" and then the two would pause and they would continue with "...is what i would say if i was a..." and then i couldn't decide on how to end the sentence. but it's funny that i was thinking about that and then this got asked. (what brought this on? lol)

as far as how i'm so amazing, we have previously established that it is my superpower.

none of them are modded, it just takes practice and attention to detail.

the advice i give most often is to have your doll practice yoga poses so you can get used to how they move and what their joints are capable of. the next bit of advice i usually give is to look at magazine ads and photoshoots and mimic the poses in them, paying close attention to hands, legs, shoulders, etc. so you get a feel for making your poses look more natural. like which way hands would be pointing, one shoulder lifted a certain way... it's important to also remember that people don't move in a symmetrical way. unless you are a cyberman.

the most proportionate glasses for mnf are unoa glasses, but they don't have lenses which might put some people off. the ones that dollmore and other places sell are actually sized for SD, even though they're marked as MSD.

for cell phones, i dunno :/ i have some that are actually SD-sized, but haven't been able to find any good MSD ones. there's a shop on etsy that sells iphones and such that are tiny-sized (meant for little dollhouses) but too small for MSD. if you find some good ones, lemme know!
