It's called shock value. I know you wouldn't, but just saying, if you did some research on him, you would discover the facts.
He does everything for shock value, he doesn't mean shit he raps about. Dissing homosexuals? There's a lesbian in Odd Future named Syd, who's one of the producers. Rocking upside down crosses? He's actually an atheist.
That's the point, why he makes these songs. He wants to get under people's skins, mock Christians. The point is he doesn't care about shit and does what he wants.
I don't see why you need to persuade me to listen other shit. Straight forward, if you don't like it, just don't listen to him. Stop trying to force people to do what you want to do. Why would I listen to an ANONYMOUS person? -
LOL. What is "real hip hop?" People have so many different definitions of what real hip hop is, you can't just stick your own personal opinion on someone else who probably has a different perspective on you.
Fyi, I don't listen to a specific genre. I don't dig in to what "real hip hop" is like you do. Who are you to yuck my yum?
Why I like Tyler? I like his word play, his beats, and the fictional story he tells through his songs. I like the shock value he presents.
Am I a true fan? I dunno, I'm just another person listening to his music, so it's no big deal.
