Does postrank count comment replies as comments? Two blog posts on two separate blogs could have 10 comments each. But if one blog has software which allows the blogger to reply to each comment individually then it looks like the post has 20 comments.
Postrank does but after some discussion, we've decided we don't. It does make life more complicated as it means for blogs using that software we need to manually count comments over an entire month, though, so if a lot of people start using Disqus, for example, we'll need to look at the metrics again.
