I mainly wanted to be a storyboard artist - that was the part of the process I was most interested in.
And yeah, I've been applying animation techniques in certain parts of the comic since the beginning. If you ever see one of my livestreams you'll probably see me thumb through a sequence of sheets to check a transition, with the sheets all pegged down at the bottom like an animator's board. -
I knew from about 4 or 5 that I wanted to be an artist. The most directionless I've ever felt, job-wise, was when I realized I wasn't good enough to make it in animation (which is what I originally wanted to do). But that part of life has been pretty straightforward for me.

there should be some back in stock on Monday! I usually make them available every week, but this weekend I was at a convention the entire time.

When I was 6 years old, Mom and Dad and I went to Santa Rosa beach. We had the bad luck to arrive on the last day of a hurricane. The next day, I ran out onto the beach, all excited... and noticed too late there were dead jellyfish covering every inch of sand.
I don't remember the rest of that vacation except being in a gray room with a high fever D: -
TJ's not really the seducing type, haha. Once he's comfortable enough with somebody, he'll just be like, straight up, "hey, you wanna do it?" When he's interested in someone new, though, he sits back and lets them make the first moves.

Fuckin' jellyfish, man. Ughghhghghhh.

I can never tell whether these kinds of questions are meant earnestly or as a jab, but I'll take this one at face value. (pun not intended)
Anyway, I'm honestly not sure which face you mean. If it's this one http://tjandamal.com/comic/?id=170 , he goofs up and gets embarrassed and calls himself on it immediately, so... that answers your question.
That's the only instance in the comic where Amal's actually trying too hard to be seductive, so if his expression has come across that way at any other time, then I've screwed up drawing it :/ -
TJ... doesn't cry. Which isn't 'cause he's tough or brave or anything; it's actually kind of unhealthy.
Amal cries about as much as any person, I guess. You can see him fighting it off in Chapter 1. -
A combo of a particularly nasty fight and lack of access to dental care. He was about 17.
-
Yep, he's missing his second upper left premolar. I like when I get to draw him smiling big enough for it to show. :B
When you see TJ making a sort of puckered expression when he's thinking, he's sticking his tongue in the socket. -
Yep! He's not a *fan*, but he likes the music just fine.

I do? 8|a
I guess it just has to do with proportion -- keeping it in line with the size of the rest of the body.
I often forget tattoos, though, and have to put them back in in Photoshop :U -
I have not read it (though I'd like to), so I couldn't really say...
-
Nope, it's based *very* closely off a place in San Francisco.

I imagine she probably stopped, partly due to reasons (the peepshow she worked at is a real place so I can't say more than that), and partly because horticulture is something she's more passionate about than stripping, and the flower shop offered her enough hours to do pretty well. If you buy Smut Peddler you can see some books about indoor gardening on her nightstand :3

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to the next few updates and I hope you enjoy them as well :]

It's cool. :) I was seriously into weight lifting / bodybuilding in my early 20's, but had to stop after a pretty bad back injury. I recovered fine, but also quit being a gym rat. Oh well!

You'll know it when you see it. :)

I'll answer most anything, as long as it's not pointless, spoilery, or in poor taste.
