Not that I would ever want to be a "mom". I would consider adopting a preteen though. Older kids need safe homes, and are generally passed over in adoption agencies because people want babies (just like animal shelters, people want the adorable babies instead of the older animals). I wouldn't call it being a "mom" so much as being a caregiver.

Coloring still bugs the hell out of me, because I just don't know enough about photoshop to make it look nice. ^_^; From other artists though I love multi layered cell shading, like the artwork you see on sites like Subeta. SO pretty.

I base a character around personality first, then species, then element, then look into the details like color scheme. Usually those items will dictate to me what sort of wardrobe they'll have.
