My brown oxfords/brogues. I love them and they're so comfortable!
-
LOL, sowas könnt ich nicht mal mehr unter Androhung von Prügeln schreiben. Eh. Aufsätze :/ xD
-
Well, why not.
I'm a sucker for lonely little villages, as long as I got internet access! -

Yeah, lol. I have. Definitely not impressed - dunno what people see in those. LOL.
-
Yes, I definitely would.
There isn't a lot that is keeping me in my hometown except for family and friends.
I KNOW that my true home is somewhere out there (I think it is London, to be honest), so I'd be up for a change of scenery! -

Haha, yeah, you know probably too little about me?
That said: There's nothing that could quite shock me, not the rudest of questions ;) -
What kind of question is that? LOL.
No and No. -

Well, some time five years ago I decided it would be a proper nice idea to study Latin and English at uni.
For Latin, I had to get a certificate in Ancient Greek and here's where the story gets really long and boring, so I'll cut it and say that I changed courses -twice- since then but still to AG at uni.
Anyway, around the time I had to plan my stay abroad in London, I went to see Bloc Party. in Cologne and the day I went, I got the idea to get one of their lyrics tattooed and since I didn't want to be so obvious about them being song lyrics, I decided I wanted to get them tattooed in Ancient Greek.
That didn't happen for a couple of reasons but in essence, I tried to translate 'Be Brave' into AG and found that 'brave', 'cheeky' and 'daring' all had pretty much one translation, namely 'thraseios' (if you spell it in our alphabet and print). The female form is, of course, 'thraseia' and I really like the sound of it and wanted a change from the name I went around with on the internet... So, 'thraseia' it is since roughly about May 2007 :) -
I don't think I watch many different genres, to be honest.
Just lately, I realized I watch a whole lot of German soaps, mostly after work with my mother :D
My favourite TV shows, most of them, have all had their big time already and are now out on DVD - I adore Buffy, the Vampire Slayer and Queer as Folk. I have all episodes on DVD :)
Also, I quite enjoy Scrubs, Sex and the City and as of recently, Vampire Diaries. I watched a bit of Glee online and it looks quite fun, but that is about all that I watch.
PS: I do hate Lost with a passion. -
1. Contrary to what most people would choose - a beach, the sea, eternal sunshine - I really do love London and would give almost anything to go back to living there :) It feels like home so badly, it's ridiculous!
2. Yes, I do drink. I do love anything mixed with Safari liqeuer and cocktails in general. I also like cider and bubbly, sparkling wine if it's sweet.
3. I learned English in high school & there's it was my favourite subject for all of the nine years until our finals! Afterwards, I decided to go to university and study English some more.
For said course, I had to go and live abroad for a couple of months and went to live in London. I don't think my written English improved during that time, but you definitely hear the difference when I speak.
I've now left the English course and decided to become a full-time theology student, but that's beside the point. -
LOL. Who asked that?
I probably know too many excellent examples for both groups to decide that...
I still have a thing for British accents of any kind but you know how I am (most probably you do) - any guy who's a native English speaker and has somewhat of decent sense of style (and a pretty face and rad hair) is ranking high on the list! -
Dunno who asked this, but Los Angeles all the way.
Many of my friends are smitten by NY but there's just something about Los Angeles that seems to be more appealing to me. Someone once said it's much like London, with less rain and a beach... -
Well, amongst a lot of situations, the first moment in which I realized that I was an adult and had to stand up for myself and only myself, was when my first all-alone trip to London got really messed up.
Going against my parents' will and everyone's good advice I did what my heart was telling me. It was scary, yes, but also very liberating. -
Tough question here.
Obviously, I adore Audrey Hepburn (in Breakfast at Tiffany's) but she's dead already and would have been too old.
It would have to be one of the young-ish actresses, I guess.
I adore Kirsten Dunst in Elizabethtown and really do think the character she plays in there is a lot like me already. -

I did when I was younger but I realised that, although it's lovely to dabble in the past, you cannot change anything about it and that it might be better that way.
I figured out that indeed, everything happens for a reason and is significant for my life - maybe not at once but in the years to come.
And I too believe that we don't have any choice in what happens anyway and that things are already planned out for us. So there would have been no choice for me to do things differently anyway. -
Am I allowed to ask questions too? Who asked this?
Wow, that is possibly the toughest of questions to me. I've made attempts at figuring it out but I couldn't really tell you.
I always say that I used to be a bloody music snob; that I loved most songs only for the lyrics.
And I guess there's your answer: Music, in a way, is literature too. I'm all about finding sense in songs. I don't play any instrument but I do know how to write - hence I'm closer to lit.
But music comes so, so close to literature.
There's simply nothing which gives me quite the feeling as the atmosphere at a live show does.
And I still want to know who asked this; it's been one of the best questions I ever got asked! -
Many, many blogosphere friends. Songs. Poems. Literature and some of my favorite movie characters, such as Claire Colburn, Penny Lane and Holly Golightly.
