I'm not even sure what that means. I do think that the story, setting and even most of the gameplay that was tailored for it being a handheld title would have made it a superior MGS4, if that makes any sense.

Peace Walker seems to distance itself from Portable Ops. Read my latest editorial. Even if it was an actual direct sequel, it's still unnecessary. How does the story progress by knowing the identity of the man who planned Operation: Snake Eater? It doesn't. Guns of the Patriots already establish that the CIA wanted to get rid of The Boss. As for the "vision" Elisa had at the end of Portable Ops, that has far more to do with the original Metal Gear than Peace Walker. You even see Metal Gear TX-55.

No, only if they don't make any posts.

I wouldn't say I was against it, I think Richard Doyle simply does a better Big Boss. Hayter's still a great voice actor and his performances in Metal Gear Solid, Sons of Liberty and Guns of the Patriots define Solid Snake's character. His performance is still good in Peace Walker--better than it was in Portable Ops or even Snake Eater--but there's still that "what could have been" feeling over Doyle voicing a younger Big Boss.

You guys can do whatever want... if there's enough demand for it, I can provide a hi-res version of my current avatar for something.

It's like a much better version of Portable Ops. I also do not mind having the codec be real-time and instead having BRIEFING files to substitute the usual codec conversations the series has been known for. The bosses are all machines though.

I did write a short review of sorts you can read here: http://thesnakesoup.org/?section=announcements&content=index&t=4304

Shhhhh.... they want Rising to be appealing to the sexually insecure audience, too!
-
It depends on what kind of a film it'll be.
-
No, but the demo will be available publicly.
-
Actually, yes, maybe the 10th.

I hardly see how this would be a possibility unless they are striving to make the game appeal to the Japanese audience. They're far too scared of the possible backlash from western audiences to do something like that.
