I don't read blogs or magazines because I think they are mostly just commercials, and I don't have cable so I don't watch HGTV or Trading Spaces, also because of the commercials.
What I do a lot of is online shopping, and most of the spaces in my home are direct rip offs of West Elm catalog shots or Three Potato Four photos. I buy a lot of basic, plain furniture from West Elm and Ikea and decorate using vintage finds from Etsy or Post27 in Chicago. Most of the time I have an image in my head from a catalog I'm trying to recreate with my own style.
I would love, love, love to be an interior designer, but I hear it requires actual school. Which is dumb. -
