No, the filming for the movie has not started yet. They don't even have a full cast yet.

No. Unfortunately we don't even have totally confirmation on the year. It's been said the movie will come out in 2011, but since there's not even a cast yet, that seems unlikely.

Thanks, this is the better place for this question but I wrote it in the chatbox so I'll just respond here as well. Her name was It was "Lives in the Stars" (p 523). After she saved her friend who was also a soul, the other souls started calling her "Rides the Beast" but she says she didn't like that name so she made everyone go back to calling her calling her "Lives in the Stars" (p 527).

So many questions we don't have the answer to! The answer is I don't know. This is all I can tell you: pre-production entails a lot of things, like scouting for locations, that don't involve casting. They hope to start filming around the beginning of next year. Theoretically then we should hear some casting in the next couple of months, at least for leads.
Since they don't have a distributor, however, Paula Mae Schwartz was quoted as saying that they might put the whole bundle together first (e.g. cast, script, director, locations) and then present it to a distributor like say, Universal. If they decide not to announce casting until the distributor has approved everything, we might not hear until December. -

Again, we have no inside information on this, if we did we would have shared it and it would not be a secret. We all have our own favorites for who we'd like to be cast, but that is of course not what you're asking. There are too many options for me to try to narrow it down to the most likely. (I don't think that would be possible to do at this point.) I will say that the most popular fan choices: Sophia Bush, Ian Somerhalder, and Jensen Ackles I think are extremely unlikely due to their TV shooting schedules.

Forecast in what way? In how well it will do at the box office? If that's what you mean then I think the chances that it will do well are good considering Meyer's fanbase. I think once more fans become aware of the movie (once it's cast and they've begun filming) then they will read the book and become part of the fandom. Still, there are many unknowns. I think how well the movie does will depend on how well it is marketed and what other YA novel to movies are come out around the same time. (So many are vying to fill the void that will be left by Twilight and Harry Potter. Shiver, Mortal Instruments, The Hunger Games, just to name a few.)
If you meant "forecast" in another manner, ask again and I'll happily try to answer. -
Well, the last we heard they hoped to begin filming early 2011 so my best guess would be late summer or fall 2011. The production company, Chockstone, doesn't have a distributor yet, so it will largely depend on what other movies the distributor has to release (e.g. if they have a summer blockbuster yet).
