In some things. I'm fierce when it comes to trivia competitions -- like playing Jeopardy. But sports? Could not care less. *yawn*

These days, they mostly contact me, but I built relationships with them after I'd been blogging a little while. When I contact them I introduce myself and give a quick sentence about why the book appeals to me, then I give relevant stats (how long I've been blogging, followers, page views, where I share reviews, etc). I also include my mailing address so they don't have to spend time contacting me again if they're interested. The main thing is to be polite and professional, as well as unassuming. ARCs are scarce commodities and there are many bloggers out there. Sometimes a publisher just doesn't have one to send. It's important to be gracious. Maybe one day they'll have an ARC and remember that a particular blogger was nice and didn't try to make their life harder =)

I actually didn't really watch much Sesame Street. Was Big Bird on there? I remember Big Bird.

Harry Potter! But only if I was a wizard. And, you know, after Voldemort was defeated.

I am a coffee drinker allllll the way. It's an addiction. I need it to function in the morning, but I can drink it at midnight and still go to bed no problem. This is probably a bad sign lol.

@MichelleHodkin, obvs! When she's not ending our friendship over Robert Pattinson =P And I love to read Rachel Hawkins' @LadyHawkins tweets because they're hilarious.

I'm looking at the ALA Banned Books List. Harry Potter, because people apparently don't understand the meaning of the word "fiction". To Kill a Mockingbird, (language -- again because people just don't get it). Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants (sex/alcohol), The Hunger Games (it will "desensitize kids to violence" because parents are stupid and want to coddle their kids so they won't be able to function in the real world), Anne Frank (sexual material -- what?? That's what you got from that book?), ttyl (sex...I'm detecting a theme), Twilight ("racy" -- um, did we read the same books?), The Egypt Game (because it will make your child a devil worshipper. Just like Harry Potter.), Just Listen ("too intense for teens" -- really?? OMG.), The Giver ("lethal injection of babies and the elderly" -- apparently they don't understand what "dystopian" means)...I'm going to stop now because I'm getting mad.

Finishing up Saving June by Hannah Harrington!

Those human interest stories news outlets are so fond of -- people saving other people without hesitation, even at their own peril. It reminds me that there's still some goodness in humanity.

Already started. I was more excited BEFORE I came back lol.

No lie, I was just thinking yesterday that I would buy a hard copy of Mara Dyer when it came out so I could hang the jacket on my wall :)

Toughie. Would I be able to control my transformations? If so, definitely a wolf. They have much more self-control than those broody vamps.
-
Um, yeah. I don't get up early unless there's an emergency. Like a fire.

Private jet, definitely. I travel a lot and HATE going through airport security. Ugh.
-
A lot! I had no idea this whole universe was out there. It's still kind of surreal being able to talk to/interview my favorite authors. Plus, I now have a ton of friends who read the same books I do! =)

Strong characterization -- if I feel connected to the characters, I'm invested in the book (even if the plot may be lacking). Strong writing too -- bad writing can ruin even a great plot.

Hmm The Canterbury Tales? Or maybe Aristotle's Poetics, if that counts.

I don't like eggs. Yuck.

Victorian England. Totes obsessed.
