      i noticed you're back to an approval-based system - too much abuse without it?

      Some of the uploads I didn't think weren't quality enough and people complain if you delete them when they've already gone live.

      Update: It's back on auto-approve but I may switch it around every now and then.

      I can't remember deleting the comments from that image although it was probably a while ago.

      Few reasons why they may of disappeared...
      - It could have been a database error when removing some rows.
      - I normally only delete comments which go completely off topic i.e. your mother jokes or unnecessary racism.
      - Or it wasn't me who deleted them.

      Thank you. Oddly it seems to work in IE but it failed in Chorme. Oh well at least I can access the site now :D

      I've asked the web host (Dreamhost) about this issue and I'll update this question when I get a reply.

      Update: They have confirmed my assumption that it's a problem on your end possibly due to a firewall or proxy. Without becoming personal technical support I suggest you clear your browser cache and press CTRL + F5 (a.k.a super refresh).

      there a problem displaying the latest image. it said network error and other websites are fine

      Server must of went down temporarily. Happens occasionally. Try again a few seconds later. Only begin to panic when it's down for hours.

      Do you look into the ownership of images or credit original authors?

      Most of the images uploaded are spread around the internet a lot anyway. Things like comic strips such as from XKCD I might look into as people get picky about copying them whithout providing source.

      I tried it in Chrome and it loaded fine. Try pressing F5 or CTRL + F5 to reload all the stylesheets and javascripts again.

      Database Error Could not connect: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 111 (don't know of any other way to talk to you guys)

      MySQL server is down I guess. Very rare occurrence. Can't do anything about it unfortunately, it's up to the web host. Try again in a few minutes.
