Im just curious.. seeing as how most of your friends are back home, who do you hang out with in uni? Friends from the same tutorials/clubs etc? I'm going uni next year and i'm not sure what to expect..
University forces you to become independent in the sense that you'll find yourself doing your own work in tutorials. As soon as tut's over, everyone leaves instantly and there's none of that casual chitchat you often have with your classmates in JC/Poly. I know this sounds slightly daunting but it's really not that bad!
I usually have a friend in each tut but we're not close because a lot of them aren't from my degree. I hang out with a couple of people from my degree, we're very close and although we don't usually have the same tuts, we attend our lectures and have lunch together :D Some of my friends from Singapore are studying here as well so we meet up at least 2-3x a month for food and lol sessions.
Don't worry about it so much! I'm sure you'll be fine :)
