Great question! As far as tangible and visible impact, I think it's a bit too early to tell. However, judging by the feedback we receive in emails and comments - the blog is making waves. Our traffic has gotten to a serious level where we're not just talking to ourselves anymore. Developers have contacted us and asked us for suggestions or advice. The number of people who have told us that they're impacted is pretty humbling and overwhelming.
We have plans for ways to be louder and make real change. Such as guidelines for developers to make sure their games are inclusive, some conference participation, possible partnerships with game developers and/or consulting.
I'm betting on big things for the site this year. Thanks for reading it :) -

I play on Proudmoore, the unofficial LGBT server. Unfortunately for you though, I am Horde. I do have an alliance alt that I'm playing on Moon Guard, but I honestly don't play very much.

Formspring Question of the Day
asked by FormspringThe best thing that happened to me was getting a new job that allows me to work remote 3 weeks out of every month. I get to spend 1 week up in San Francisco, and get to spend more time with my horse and get more work done without distraction. I am very happy with my decision to join up with a new startup and work from home, which I did in Sept 2010.

I think we've seen the beginning of it, but it's certainly not over. Facebook continues to grow daily. The internet has evolved to a place where nearly every site on the web has to have a social/community component in order to be successful. Facebook itself is a platform, for gaming, for communication, for photo sharing, for business and marketing. I don't think that any of this is going away any time soon, and will still be growing.

Caring for a horse, frankly because for the demographic it is a more fun experience. Doing a horse riding game in Flash has been done many times, and I've yet to see it done well. The majority of horse games focus more on the breeding, raising, caring of horses. If I were making a game strictly for chance of success, I would have it be similar to other pet games except with ponies and horses. Complete with costumes and barn decorating. I would combine dollhousing with pet caring and make sure all the horses and ponies had big adorable sad looking eyes so players never wanted to leave them. ;)
Caring for a horse is fun. It's the whole "pretty princess pony" aspect that I think could do well. :)
