Hey, I'm loving the new art style! What prompted the switch?
I really honestly hated the shit out of doing the work digitally. It felt lifeless, like there was something missing, and it was honestly just.. so bare bones. That's my fault rather than the program's fault, though. I see some pretty impressive digital comics that take advantage of the medium, and I guess I have too little patience to teach myself all the little effects and such, or rather I feel I am the type that needs to be guided in order to learn.. so self-teaching leaves me confused and frustrated.
So because of that the pages upset me and make me feel disappointed in how.. dead they feel. It's hard to describe. I can't even look at Pillow Talk anymore because it upsets me that much.
and even though it's going to be a bit challenging doing the same effects traditionally that digitally allowed (Like kind of making a sweeping night time look), I am willing to make mistakes and screw up just for the pleasure of working with watercolours. Watercolours and inking with a brush bring me a huge pleasure, something I haven't really felt with digital work.
