Spring break is next month. I'll be going to Honolulu for a few days. Then I have a week off in May. Why? You want me to come by? ;)

Basically experiencing different fields of pharmacy, from community/retail, acute care, ambulatory care, etc. At my school, I have 8 rotations that are 6 weeks long, anywhere from 40-60 hours a week. I start in April 2012 and finish in March 2013.

A reprint of a cookbook by MFK Fisher. Fascinating piece about American cuisine in the 40s and 50s...
-
If that's your reason for doing pharmacy, don't bother.

The Big Island when I interviewed for UHH pharm school. That was surreal--being in 80 degree weather and seeing snow on Mauna Kea!
-
Being done with didactics and starting P4 rotations in April!

Depends on scholarships, family helping out, etc. Most of my friends are leaving with ~100K.

Be yourself. Treat him as if he were any other guy Don't ingratiate yourself to his culture. I hope you're dating him because he's a nice guy, not because he's Filipino.

As long as you don't cum near any broken skin, or near mucous membranes (like mouth, ass, etc.), you're fine.
-
Lol. A year from now I'll still be in SF since I'll be doing rotations till 3/13. The probability is 100%. :P

The same as doing it if you're a bottom. The risks are slightly less, but I know a few guys who've gotten STDs (including HIV) who were strictly tops.
-
Well, that activism has always made me feel special affinity towards underserved people (like POC, LGBT, women, HIV+, etc). I'm hoping I'll be able to do rotations with a trans clinic, and encourage LGBTPOC to consider the health professions. we need more people like me out there!

One that I'm not graded on. ;)

wherever it was most convenient. ;)

Without knowing anything about how rice is prepared in other cultures, I can't really say. There wasn't any supposed ritual that I learned. (I was trained as a sociologist not as an anthropologist.)
-
LOL well, we all like rice--though I mean it to mean something totally different. (it's a slang term for a queer asian man who's into other asian men.)
-
Personally, I'm an agnostic. It's not in my place to say what people should or shouldn't believe, but I find it funny how fellow agnostics/atheists tend to know more about religion than our more "religious" counterparts!
-
Not at all. It's a misperception that one sees lots of Filipin@s as nurses and the like, but when one goes up into middle & upper management, we are still incredibly underrepresented.
