It is not only the word, but also the time, the place, and the motion. No, wait, that's Grease. Sorry.

Like a game with fans in it? Didn't The Incredible Machine have those?

Besides the obvious improvements in graphical tech, it would be a musical.

In the aesthetic sense, it borrows a lot from mid-late nineties 2D adventures, much like many of my other games do. Think Curse of Monkey Island and their ilk, though I don't exactly have a team of Disney-quality animators. In the gameplay sense, there's a little bit of Last Express, though more in the sense of exploration and eavesdropping rather than actual real time features, because I don't know how to do that without making it feel horribly broken. There's lots of influence from modern IF in there as well.
That said, it's not a very "traditional" adventure game, particularly since there's no real puzzle solving or object manipulation involved. -
I did not know about that! I must check it out sometime.

I'm known to happily devour anything with tentacles. However, I'm still too afraid to try sheep brains, which are, apparently, a Persian delicacy.

Trevin doesn't remember ever having a brother, or any kind of family, for that matter. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean Kevor doesn't exist.

I've been hearing about it for years and haven't been terribly impressed with the hype, so I'm inclined to think the former.

Instruments I actually own: euphonium, cornet, guitar, bass, piano, and didgeridoo. Other instruments I can sorta play: trombone, drum kit, all kinds of percussion. There are probably others, but they're not coming to mind right now.

For $314 an hour, I will personally ensure that they never leave the house with pants on ever again.

Recently, I've been playing a lot of Surviving High School for the iPhone. But really, the guilt comes more from the fact that it's developed by the Evil Aempire (to borrow a term from Corvus) than anything else.

Blue Lacuna, Galatea, and Tetris. If it were only one, then probably Tetris. (Note that I'm not necessarily choosing my favourite games, but those I think I can keep playing for a long time and not tire of.)

No, I took up the sousaphone (well, the tuba at first) for the simple reason that it was the biggest, coolest-looking instrument available to me in band class. As for watermelons, that hasn't quite happened yet, though I've had several people try to stick their heads in the bell.

Deirdra Kiai’s Bio
I make video games, play the sousaphone, and scare small children, but not necessarily all at the same time.
