i think stress triggers the tear ducts to produce and expel liquid. i'm not sure. weird no, because i cant think of a physiological function for tears...other than lubricating the eyeballs of course.

Pride. Definitely pride. It makes no effort of hiding in the closet. It peeks its large, pointy head often and prances about gleefully on occasion. Pride has cost me many, many things. It is a cold comfort but an unerring ally.
Wrath is an old cherished friend I can call on when the need arises. It does not often venture outside the closet. But I know it is there.
Gluttony, Lust and Sloth are in incestuous alliance, ready to assault in moments of weakness. Largely, Pride keeps them at bay.
And lastly, I know not Envy nor Greed. -

i think the greatest divide is not so much based on sex but on class. poor, uneducated women are twice at a disadvantage as women who have means and education. culturally, i think our pre-colonial egalitarian sexual dynamics still has a pulse underneath that veneer of catholic dogmatism.

i think the most challenging role would be padre damaso's. not only because i'd be playing a man but a character a bit more opaque and subtle than victorina and sisa.

i guess the first written piece i read that made me realise how powerful ideas put on paper are would be 'clash of civilisations' by samuel huntington. i'd read it in the 90s, but re-read it soon after 9/11. huntington (who was influential in the US council of foreign relations) pretty much pointed to chinese and islam as the next 'evil' the 'west' must contend with. islamophobia has since subsided, but the 'war on terror' continues to destroy lives til today.
its an outdated thinking, the kind huntington and his ilk peddle to powerful figures. but they found an audience in that circle of bush-cheney-rice. -
in my early 20s. yes i held out. with my first serious boyfriend :-)

i have ambivalent feelings towards marriage. if i get married, its ok. if i don't, its ok too. personally i'd probably prefer not to get married. this doesn't mean though, that i'm not capable of a long-term commitment. but at this point, i'd like to maintain the feeling of being desired...and for my partner to feel the same from me. if you get married - that takes choice (ergo desire) out of the equation.
so, to rephrase your question. who would i consider for a long-time committed relationship? right now? pwede ba fantasy choice? hmmmm....si nacho figueras. hahahahahahhahahaha. -

omg, i think the first thing he'll do is deport all the indians, if not have them 'eliminated' altogether. then he'll require all men to carry front pocket wallets. then he'll probably legalise divorce. and for that reason alone, i'll probably support him!
