The 'Souls Assemblage believes very firmly in being as fair as possible and will generally work extensively with individual members to amend and adjust problematic behaviour, especially in cases where the member is receptive to warnings and appears to be making a genuine effort to improve.

We do tend to give a lot of chances for behaviour-based offenses and will hand out multiple warnings before resorting to a ban. However, recently, along with Chat bans, we have introduced the concept of OOC bans, which would bar a member from participating in most OOC areas (excepting necessities like the Maintenance thread and Post logs), but wold be allowed to continue roleplaying and using the PM system to plot. Roleplaying, after all, is what we are here to do, and we hope this "half-ban" will give us more options in disciplining members that have little IC issues, but continuous OOC issues.

For offenses related to intentional deception, art theft, graphics theft, and severely inappropriate behaviour (such as sexual harassment and threats of injury), the SA tends to be much less lenient and often enacts bans immediately.

No one there is going to bite your head off for asking a simple graphics question, and you shouldn't be embarrassed to ask such questions publicly! Even the best coders on 'Souls once started off not knowing how to even make a font bigger. :3

That being said, we'd like to take this opportunity to remind players of the types of submissions appropriate for the Formspring:

- Questions related to 'Souls as a whole
- Questions related to the administration
- Questions answerable by only the administration
- Complaints or other private sorts of commentary (recently, we had a very nice compliment in here -- made our day, thanks!), most of which is not published

The following types of submissions are NOT appropriate for the Formspring:

- Questions irrelevant to 'Souls, or personal questions to individual administrators.

- Questions related to a specific pack. These should be directed to the pack's leadership.

- MOST questions related to graphics, coding, etc. We're not opposed to answering a broad question about image permission rights or graphics-related RULES, but we don't wish to answer a lot of "how to" questions about graphics or coding via the Formspring -- the Talents forum is much more useful, would provide a wider range of answers, and be more easily accessed by others with the same or similar questions.

- MOST questions related to troubleshooting. We prefer for users to submit their technical issues -- e.g., "This topic is broken," "the Table of Contents is way outdated" or "I'm having a problem accessing my linked accounts -- the accounts linkage stuff in My Control Panel is gone?!" -- via the Maintenance topic, Help and Questions, or via a PM to the 'Souls Assemblage account. It's hard for us to troubleshoot stuff via Formspring since it cannot facilitate a back-and-forth conversation where we ask for details/specifics.

Heat cycling in Luperci is probably "mid-way" between wolf and human cycles. It is unlikely a Luperci female goes into heat each and every month, but they do go into heat more frequently than once per year -- perhaps every other month or every third month, depending on the individual.

A female luperci is most likely to become pregnant after a heat cycle, when she is ovulating. It might vary from individual to individual, but that is normally once or twice a year. Female luperci are still able to get pregnant outside of that time, but it is less common.

Yes. Specifically, be on the lookout for:

- Threads of 'Souls screenshots (These are funny, but irrelevant in the long run)
- Threads of birthday wishes (These are great, but there are a LOT of them)

Other than that, you can recommend other unimportant and minor threads, but we may or may not delete those.

We do not expect to allow significant technology advancement beyond what is currently available.

As a society, Luperci do not yet really have recorded history of their own and all of the technology they use is salvaged and learned within a single lifetime. Realistically, it would take decades for them to build up significant knowledge on their own and to make technological advancements based on their own shared knowledge.

The more organized Luperci societies of Europe may gradually make their way to 'Souls proper, which would make uniform technological advancement more likely, but this is something the administration would like to see happen naturally in the game over time, much like the very gradual move from mostly feral, lupus Luperci packs to mostly "advanced," optime Luperci packs.

Leaders are subject to the same activity standards as other members and must post at least once every four weeks. Failure to do so results in removal, as per 'Souls activity guidelines.

If a pack leader became inactive and was removed without designating a new leader or dissolving the pack, it would be up to the members of the pack as to whether to establish a new leader or to dissolve the pack.

The settings are to your preference -- we recommend archiving the oldest messages first, and moving to newer messages. The board automatically sends the file of your preference (HTML recommended) to your specified e-mail address.

You can tell the forum to delete messages as they're archived as well, so you don't have to keep track of what you've already archived, especially since you can only archive 50 messages at a time (built-in limitation to avoid overloading the database).

A player with a severe tendency to drop characters frequently should have stellar, solid numbers to be approved. However, this is not a deciding factor in our evaluations, and most of the time, we'll instead politely remind the person in question to be aware of their tendencies to drop characters and how this may interfere with plotting potentials for others.

No, NPC status is available to pack characters only. (See Procedures here: http://www.soulsrpg.com/forum/?showtopic=12251#npcsabsence)

Since NPC status was created for the sole purpose of allowing pack characters -- who had no IC reason for leaving their packs -- to stay in their packs while a player is on extended absence, it doesn't really make sense to extend it to Creatures and Loners, who have no affiliation to maintain.

It fine to assume Creatures and Loners stay in neutral territories while dropped or inactive, so no special status is required there.

It is possible. The administration is looking into it, but it is not a very high priority, and there is no guarantee that it will be implemented.

While lone wolves are rare in real life, 'Souls does tolerate a large number of loners, preferring player freedom over absolute realism in this case. Similarly, real coyotes and jackals generally live alone or in pairs, maintaining smaller personal territories over larger group territories, but 'Souls would allow these species to create and form packs if they so desire. That said, it does make a lot of sense that a majority of the coyotes and jackals currently in the game are hybrids with some percentage of wolf. :)
