"Eat, drink and be merry, boys, for tomorrow we ride." Loosely translated, don't take everything so seriously, because none of us get out out alive.

You can call yourself anything you want to. Unfortunately, though, some folks are stuck in standards of notation and when confronted with an anomaly, they feel it's just a typo and "correct" it to do you a favor.

I applaud your not bowing to convention.

Absolutely. I've done so many times in the past and when out of town on my own, I at least go to dinner by myself. I don't prefer it at all - for me, dinner out is about the social interaction and mutual enjoyment of good food, rather than just filling my stomach.

I have been to Alaska twice and I LOVE it! In fact, I have a short story in progress about a guy who goes back up to Fairbanks for a reunion with some old school friends (in June). You know, all night Solstice Softball...

I would most definitely do childhood over again, but with wisdom I gained over the years. In fact, like most writers, I've thought about writing a story / novel / screenplay based on that very theme. The rest of the details will come when I write it!
