I don't think there's a subject necessarily but more of questions themselves and how they're worded. Also the source. If some random, anonymous person asks me an extremely personal question publicly, I most likely won't answer it. But if a friend asks me that same question in private, I might be more inclined to answer.

Nah. To each his own. I'm sure there are people out there that feel that way regarding indie books. And to those people, I say they're crazy.
