She has lots more great tutorials, too! -
Wow, that's a tough one to have only 10, but here goes:
1. Good quality white cardstock -- I have used Cougar Opaque White 80# cardstock for years. Recently tried the Neenah White and it's great too! Just something that is smooth enough so that you can use colored pencils and markers on it, but still has a little "tooth" so the colors stick.
2. Black dye ink! If you are going to use Copic markers, then you'll want Momento black dye ink by Tsukineko. If you're doing colored pencils or watercolors, then I like to use Memories black by Stewart Superior or Ancient Page coal by Clearsnap.
3. Craft knife, with extra blades -- great for cutting into small areas where scissors won't go.
4. Metal ruler to use with your craft knife to cut straight lines. I ruin clear rulers by cutting them with the craft knife, so I don't use them :)
5. Small and large scissors. I like the Fiskars ones, but use whatever kind fits your hand well. I have one pair that's dedicated to fabric and another to paper.
6. Pop dots or foam dots -- such an easy way to make a project into something really cool!
7. Adhesive. If you are just starting out I like to have a gluestick like Tombow -- you can use it on so many surfaces and it works really well. I also like Scotch double sided tape.
8. A rubber stamp -- on a woodblock or cling stamp. Get something you love that you can use alot, like a flower!
9. Something to color with -- either good quality colored pencils like Prismacolor, watercolor pencils or paints, alcohol based markers like Copics, or water based markers like Momento.
10. Fun papers and cardstock! Make sure you get 2-3 pieces for each project and not just one -- that way if you make a mistake you have some backups! (Believe me, it's saved me a ton of times!) -

Oooo, that is hard to answer! I like all colors, but seem to love lime green, turquoise, navy, all yellows, grey, chocolate, orange, and coral pink the most lately. Will probably change next week though. :)

Hi! Here goes lots of answers in one q!
How did you get into crafting/cardmaking professionally?
I got into crafting/card making professionally by entering challenges and submitting to magazines. I think Hero must have got sick of me entering so they hired me, ha ha ha!
Did you like Japan?
I LOVE Japan! I've been there twice now and I want to go back again. :) I've been to Tokyo, Yokohama, Nikko, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, and the last time we got a rail pass and took trains to Hokkaido and spent a week hiking and exploring.
Hugs! :) -
Those are awesome! Thanks for the link! :)

That would be Mon and I! We have tons of fun cooking them up. Mon did the birthday cupcake all herself -- love the little flags!
Here's Mon's blog if you'd like to check her out! http://weiwabo.wordpress.com/ -
