I have my L, which is a Learner's License. I can drive, but only if I have an adult who's 25 or older in the car, and I'm only allowed 1 other passenger besides the adult. Where I live, you have your L for a year, and then you take a road test and get your N (Novice Driver). When you have your N you can drive by yourself and wherever and whenever you want, but there's a limitation of how many passengers you can have in the car. After another year you can take another test and get your full license, which means there's no limitations at all. I'm going to take the test for my N hopefully in September, and then I'll be driving on my own :)
