      not to be rude, but do your parents also give you money?

      My parents supported me all through college, but I have been more or less financially independent since graduation. It was tough saving up for Mexico City, working freelance jobs there, and then making the big move to Shanghai. Now I have a stable income of my own, so it's pretty exciting! But since I am their only daughter, I am sure they would help if I ever ran into trouble.

      on a scale of one to ten, how would you compare mustard to horseradish? Also, if I vow to eat kim chi for breakfast every day next year will you join me in this quest?

      Well, I have a hard time rating things on a linear scale. I think I could do without mustard but horseradish is absolutely important sometimes (i.e. bloody mary). So I'd put horseradish higher on the scale. Well, I live in Mexico City now and I'm moving to Shanghai...where can I find good tasty kimchi regularly? I'll cheer you on from afar?

      If you had to perform at the circus, what trick would you do?

      I have no idea. I guess I'd wear really great makeup and juggle while riding a unicycle. But I can't actually juggle or ride a unicycle so I might be in trouble..

      What book(s) are you reading right now?

      I'm currently reading Swann's Way by Marcel Proust. I began reading the book in bed and found myself falling asleep reading passages about...falling asleep. Now I read in the mornings over black coffee.

      Cats or Dogs?

      I like to think of myself as a cat person in my head but I've never owned a cat before and I'm probably better matched to be a dog-owner. Realistically, I won't have pets for a very long time. I plan on traveling.
