Time is quite a temporal subject for humanity, no pun intended. But, for God time is a means He uses to glorify Himself. Even the very word, "Eternity", does nothing but make us marvel at the complete supremacy of our God who reigns above all things. And it is God's glory that is at stake here. At the cross, God the Father planned that the Son of God who is Jesus Christ would go to the Cross. Upon the cross, Jesus suffered physically but also spiritually. The entirety of God's wrath for believers came upon Him. Now consider the infiniteness of the atonement, in that we have God the Father exercising all of His attributes and characteristics upon the Son of God who took the wrath of God for every sin of the elect. And the Christ died fulfilling the prophecies of the suffering savior. He then arose manifesting the complete victory over suffering, death, sin, and Satan.
Now compare this with the nonbeliever. He is a sinner who sins because he loves sin. He is responsible for his sin, no one has placed the sins of the world upon him, his sins are his own.
The greatest atrocity will not be the sinner in Hell, but Christ on the cross. Why? Because Christ was innocent. I think you are outraged at the wrong injustice. Who is the victim? Is the sinner a victim of God's justice? Or, did not Christ become the victim to be punished for sinners (the elect) who did not deserve the grace of God but have been given it. Or is God unjust for predestining the elect to receive mercy while the non-elect receive justice? No, God has done right in this. Though at times it is hard to comprehend, this is because we are not God and because we often approach the Bible without a posture of belief or perhaps with many preconceptions, cultural ideas, and traditions of who God is. Short answer: read romans and believe it. Doing theology can be dangerous, but ignorance is far more dangerous. -
Because it is not earned by us or determined to be right by us. It is God who determined the sufficiency of the atonement and it is God who has earned the victory for us. In the end, the question we should be asking is if we are judges of the atonement or are recipients? And if we believe that we are wretched sinners who are incapable of "regenerating ourselves" or "saving ourselves" then it is a little step of faith towards believing that God is entirely competent in all that He does, specifically regarding the Romans 8:28-30 golden chain of redemption for believers.

The book of Reveleation is the sticking point. It is a profoundly convicting, edifying, and encouraging inspired Word of God, but I have not studied it enough to take a perspective which leaves me rather ill-equipped for questions on it.

Don't Waste Your Life by Lecrae is my serious answer. For my silly answer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLKWeKgtt9A

I wouldn't want that power. Sleep is a gift from God not a burden.
-
I'd wish for no more genies so people wouldn't suffer because of what they wish for. how's that for deep?

Put enough into an annuity or the bank so it would give me enough to live off of, maybe 4-5 thousand a month or less. Even of this, I would spend most of it on books probably! The rest I would give away to further the gospel of Jesus Christ through His churches across the world. I'm not money-motivated, if I was money-motivated I wouldn't be planning to go into full-time ministry of some kind.

Probably not, I like these old bones of mine. Now if I had to choose between not having an arm or having a mechanical arm, yeah I'd have a mechanical arm.
-
I would almost say "To not have to sleep" but that almost sounds dehumanizing. Instead, I'll be kind of stereotypical and say that I'd love to swing around the city like spiderman.

I think there are a couple of key things. First is knowing unequivocally that you are a Christian and that you have been born again, regenerated, saved, forgiven by God. (read 1st John and piper's book "finally alive" is helpful).
Second is biblically and personally knowing who the Holy Spirit is and what He does in your life. (read Acts)
Third is knowing what the Christian is to do and who the Christian is to live in light of Jesus Christ. (read the Pauline epistles and the gospels).
Fourth, study what "vocation theology" is, google it and read what Martin Luther writes about it.
Now, how do I hear God's voice? I find a few things helpful. Studying the Scriptures. Praying. Wise Counsel. Keeping an occasionally updated journal with thoughts. Giving. Reading. Thinking. I hear God's voice through my own heartbeat.
How did I recognize what God wanted me to do? It's not so much me getting it, it's more of God willing it. It was not my will to be a preacher, it was the will of God. I'm not advocating that you should sit on your butt, play video games all day, and then expect to become a writer like Lewis or Tolkien. The will of God for Christians is that they use their natural gifts along with their spiritual calling to glorify Him in whatever is pleasing to Him whether it be pottery or mathematics. We don't live in isolation either, but in community in the world, in the local church, and in the church universal (all Christians). This was what happened in Acts and it continues. -
very excited, though haven't been able to play games at all recently due to school.

no because the dragon would eat the chihuahua and the dragon can't row the boat with those tiny arms whereas the chihuahua can. the dragon would starve to death.
