It will definitely be different, but it could be really exciting for you! One of the things I love most about Michigan is our seasons. We have four really distinct, beautiful seasons. Of course, winter can be a bit brutal but if you've never experienced autumn or spring here... you are in for a TREAT! I personally love our weather. We have cold winters, hot summers and it's kind of like... movie picture-perfect, in my opinion. Although, to be honest, many people here complain about winter constantly (I'm guilty as charged) but it's an experience. Plus, it makes you appreciate spring/summer/fall so much more than you would normally. ;)

Also, Ann Arbor is a LOVELY town! I've only been there a couple of times though. AA is on the east side and I live on the west side of the state. Great shopping, culture, food, music. Plus, you're close enough to travel to Detroit or Grand Rapids whenever you please!

It all depends on the material and cut of the dress. If it's a thicker, lined dress, I'll typically try to go without a bra. But if it's a thin, loose material - I'll wear a backless/adhesive bra. You can buy them at Target, but here's a website with some examples (http://www.maidenform.com/bras/styles/backlessadhesive-bras)

      Thank you so much, first!

As for hair routine, I typically only wash my hair a few times a week. I have naturally curly hair, so if I wash it too much - it's just a giant ball of frizz. I can't complain though about having curly hair because it gives it those pretty waves after a few days of not washing. I follow the same routine as I did back in July a couple of years ago. Ooh, I love my new closet! I'll definitely be sharing pictures this month. But in short, it's a walk in (smaller walk-in) with two shelves for shoes and a huge long bar for clothes. I have all of them organized by color and my shoes organized by type. I love it. It's such a drastic change from my last tiny closet!

Basically what you see on my blog is what I would wear in the office. If a dress has an open-back or cut out sides though, I always wear a cardigan over it. Also, if a dress is a little too short, I won't wear it to work. Even if a dress/skirt is above my knees, I'll usually wear a pair of tights. I also play it a bit more casual at work - I'll dress up 3 times or so a week and the other two days, I'll wear a striped top/jeans/moccasins. I have the flexibility to wear what I want at work, so I take advantage of being comfortable every once in a while - especially if I know my day is going to be really busy!

I definitely know what you're going through. I finally reached my "goal weight" in September 2009 and by the holidays, I was struggling to keep it off. Even since then, I've gained weight, lost it, gained weight, lost it. Even now I'm struggling to lose 10 pounds I've gained over the past two years. It's something you have to think about everyday! I'm always giving girls advice about staying motivated, when really... I struggle myself constantly.

My best piece of advice and something I've learned over the years is... you have to REALLY want it. It's like something has to snap inside of you. You almost have to be pissed about it. Haha! I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's all about passion. I coasted for a couple of years gaining here and there, but I didn't really care. A couple of weeks ago, something in me snapped and I got so mad at myself for gaining back the weight I worked so hard to lose! Ever since then, I've been following my points and eating super healthy and have already lost a couple of pounds! Just remind yourself why you started in the first place and try to keep that passion - write yourself sticky notes, set up reminders in your phone, etc. It's a daily process, but I always remind myself that "every day counts"!

I was definitely a bit rebellious (as weird as that sounds now)! My family life was a little bit unfortunate back in high school and I ended up skipping classes a lot and caring more about my social life than my future. I had to take summer classes and additional credits to graduate! Crazy, right? I just didn't know what I wanted to do or who I wanted to be back then, so it was hard to be inspired. It took me a while to come into my own, but I honestly don't think I'd be where I am now without struggling a bit in high school. If only I knew then what I know now though. :)

I definitely think it's a combination of both. You can have a great artistic sense, but not know how to use the programs or have the knowledge and you won't be a good graphic designer. BUT you can also know the programs and have gone to school for it, but if you don't have any creativity... you won't be a very good graphic designer there either. It's definitely a mixture. I wouldn't say it's a gift though. Growing up, I wasn't crazy creative. I've always been right-brained, so art was a natural fit. But I'm really technical - I learned the programs really well, so that's been an advantage. I just try to constantly get inspired by looking at design magazines, websites, etc. and pressing myself - but I definitely struggle with being creative everyday! If you work hard either way, you can do anything! That's what I believe. :)

I'm definitely available to help and answer any questions you may have about blog design! I actually stopped doing blog designs last September. Between my blog, working full-time and trying to maintain a social life, I just felt too overwhelmed taking on "clients". But definitely email me if you have questions and hopefully I can help!

And to give you some hope, I learned how to do everything on my blog through Google tutorials and trial and error. It's definitely a learning process - but a lot of fun!

Aw, finding someone you're meant to be with takes time! I found Brett in a great way actually - we both love music, so we met attending local punk shows back when I was a teenager. He was a drummer in a punk band and we became good friends before we started dating. I'd just say... do what you love and you'll find someone that fits in along the way. :)

I purchased my Photoshop filters, but there are several free ones out there... you might just have to do a bit of searching on Google! Or there might be less expensive ones. I know Totally Rad is a bit pricey, but if you do online tutorials of how you want your photo to look, you can always record your own actions too!

    18. Selective Potential

I actually don't! I'm constantly using Pinterest for inspiration. I also visit AIGA's website and Communication Arts website (and love their magazine). :)

When I have multiple blog posts under one "category", I use Blogger's tagging system. At the very bottom of your blog post, there is a field where you can tag posts. The only tricky thing is that you'll nave to create a custom navigation bar (since Blogger won't let you combine tags/pages into one navigation bar).

Aw, thanks so much! I use Make Up For Ever products. I use a liquid foundation, and their little bottles of concealer. I went to Sephora and they matched the exact color I needed to my skin tone. I've been using it for over a year now and LOVE their products! :)
