As it usually is with these things, the books are better. That's not to say I don't love the movies - I do, and I still maintain that Cuaron's is my favorite, warts and all - but there's so much to the world and character history in the books that are, probably necessarily, lost when adapting them for the screen.

Though I remember for the first three movies, the internet was raising a fuss over nitpicky things like getting the color of Harry's eyes wrong, or the location of Hagrid's hut, and I think that was ridiculous.

I do think that Order of the Phoenix was the worst book, and it made one of the best movies in the series.

Donna (post-Runaway Bride), because she was refreshing after three seasons of quasi-romance. Also, I loved her sass, and how she matured through her series. Though I do also love Rose, and poor Martha is so underrated. Amy and Rory grew on me after a very long time.

Of the expanded universe: Lucie Miller and Fitz Kreiner, definitely. .

The Daleks, and the Weeping Angels of the Blink episode. Of the classic series, probably the Rani. She needed better writing and better stories but I just loved her.

I've played the piano in annual recitals from ages six to thirteen. I've played the flute in various school bands from fourth grade through the end of high school. I was in the drumline for a year, and played several fairly public gigs in a band on my keyboard for a couple of years. One year, I also had the keyboard for second piano and various sound effects for a run of The Secret Garden. I've sat on and around campus and played my mandolin, informally, and I'm pretty proud of having been an emergency musician for various performances. I feel like the guitar's been in public, too, but specific instances are escaping me at the moment.

That Tumblr wasted no time in missing the entire point of the established world and couldn't wait to demonize it.

That being said, I've yet to try it, but I have bits of the soundtrack, which I love, and the thing got nearly universal acclaim so far. So I'm excited.

I tried to have decent last responses before I logged all of the alternate accounts. I don't know if I would've changed any of them...

...now I'm almost angry that there's a "deal in the works" after all of the logs, closing comments, lost customers and paring-down of what made it to Ask and what didn't - which I'll admit is probably weird and unreasonable.

I'll just give the shortened version - I did in sixth grade, had no idea how to react, it escalated beyond harassment and I got increasingly scared, he started on other students, and he ended up getting taken away by a cop and changing schools. The teachers didn't know what to do with him at first, either - they'd stick him on the time-out wall during recess. My friend and I would sit on top of the entire playground and she'd yell "PERVERT" across the schoolyard to make me feel better. It didn't, and we understandably got yelled at, but I did like the thought.

These days, I either just get out or shut it down right away.

It's almost /too/ similar. Like...lawsuit-inducing, code-swiping similar (especially considering the speed in which it went up).

And the design of the dissimilar elements is cluttered and confusing.

Do I need to snark from every character account to stem the tide of endless gullible people?

If you don't know how to stay safe and at least keep your guard up when presented with something clearly suspicious and/or delusional at this point, there's no helping you.
