I don't really have one... though I do rather fancy Timo Boll, who's this hot table tennis player from Germany. I admire anybody who has the resilience, grace and stamina to be great at what they do.

I've never even heard of Little Einsteins (is this a recent cartoon/show or something?), so I guess I would pick Sesame Street for my (hypothetical) future children. Anyhow, that's how I grew up, along with Play School, and countless other American and British cartoons.

Hm, I like the arbitrary enquiry!

I love baguettes/dinner rolls lathered in butter, with soup. And there's this Asian bakery in Footscray (a dingy kind of town in Melbourne) that sells bread rolls with cream and pork floss that I always buy whenever I'm in town. On that topic, Vietnamese bread rolls (I normally pick barbeque pork) are great fillers and cheap too. I don't pay particular attention to brands.

Hey there; the banner is cropped from a pin-up illustration is by Al Moore and I found it via Google Images, I think. But if you look his stuff up you should be able to find some tasteful and va va voom pin-ups ;) Good luck with your assignment!

      Hi Wayne,

Thanks for stopping by my site (per chance!). Hope I didn't come across as offensive; though I'd point out that there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a dad, being endearing, or daggy! You really lightened up the often densely intellectual atmosphere at the forum. :)

      Thanks Xand, great question!

Um, there are many, many typefaces that I wish I could stake a claim on, but at the top of my head, I really wish I'd designed Bree, designed by Veronika Burian and José Scaglione, which I fell in love with in January at the National Portrait Gallery. It's quite an understated font, but I love the swash and tail in the uppercase Q, and the lovely curvy descenders. The italics are also gorgeous.

Also I wish I'd designed anything by Jessica Hische whose typography, lettering and fonts are beautiful and stylised. I'm so jealous of this lady's talent.

I use FontLab. I only learnt the rudimentary stuff in my third year in a font design unit. It certainly is a powerful program with much at its disposal. I barely experimented with the OpenType features!

Probably agIdeas, which is a design convention in Melbourne spanning 3 days. Actually I think technically it covers the whole week as there are other coinciding events.

Plus, I miss out on class for a week! :P

I know, it's hard to imagine Bruce aged and wrinkled, isn't it?

But what about Terry? Terry, Terry, he makes me very merry...

    10. Jen

Not strictly. I believe there's some kind of supreme mystical power that binds us in nature, but I don't believe God will listen to my worries or send me to Hell because I didn't do penance for my sins. And yet, I do believe in karma. This from a kid who went to a Catholic education institution for 11 years, only because I had little choice. So I guess that makes me nearly atheist, but still in the paradigm of agnosticism. But I appreciate some of Buddhism's practices and beliefs.

Well, yes, since I didn't make the original script, but I can't provide you with the font, which was paid for.

Would I induce simultaneous rollings of eyes if I said it was the Batman himself (noooo, we're all fans here)? But hey, it's true. I love Bruce Wayne. For all his screwed up wound up personality and arrested development and goodness knows what other disorder he has, he's always maintained a compelling air for me, even when he suffers at the hands of certain writers... hrmm.

Then again, since his "death" I've come to appreciate his supporting family a lot more. I adore Helena, Alfred, Dick, Selina and Kate, but Tim Drake's really come into his own all these years, and this is all the more potent in Red Robin. He's my favourite Robin, probably because he is more like Bruce in ways Dick and Jason (and now Damian, the funny little brat) never could be. Plus, it's bloody brilliant to see Tim clash with his co-Robins.

Hmm, here are but a few:

      Oops!...I Kicked the Bucket
      The Cowl Will Go On
      Livin' la vida Joker

A career cut too short, I'd say.

Sadly nowhere near my house. I'd say Lygon Street in Carlton. There's a great gelati place. Otherwise there's Trampoline in Southbank. Pricey, but worth it for the exquisite taste!
