What is this question about chickens?
That was one of my college professor's responses to that question.

The short answer is not as well as I'd like, but I'm getting better. From the time I was little, I've had very high expectations set for me. And I never felt like I quite lived up to those expectations. As a result, there are a lot of negative thoughts and reactions to criticism that I often have to contend with.
One of the biggest things I'm working on is how not to take criticism personally. Turns out that's WAY easier said than done.
As for self criticism, I'm by far my own worst critic. No one can tear me down like I can. But at least I'm starting to develop ways of arguing with that hypercritical voice. -
