For beginners, i would recommend Canon Rebel T3 1100D or the Nikon D3100. (my first one was Nikon D3000)
These cameras have a lot in common, and for me it's a bit of a tie in terms of features and performance.
But in terms of flexibility, i'd pick the T3, because it works just fine with a large number of Canon and third-party lenses. Meanwhile, Nikon only compatible with AF-I or AF-S lenses. Canon can also use Nikon lenses (but you'd also need an adapter), but Nikon cannot use Canon lenses.
This mean if you are using it for projects such as wildlife or closeups or architecture your choices with the D3100 will be limited.
In my opinion, Canon is more user-friendly than Nikon, therefore, it's a better camera for early beginners. Meanwhile, Nikon is for late beginners or intermediate users.
Go to a place like Best Buy and look at each one in person. Hold it in your hands and see which one feels right. -
Sometimes I am sweet.
Sometimes I am starving with desire.
Sometimes all I want is to fall in love.
And sometimes I just want to go to sleep.
But I am lovely; all of the time. -
