Oh, this is a good one!
Okay, well it's a combination of things actually. I remember not liking the song "the saltwater room" by owl city very much, but I loved the title so much because I just love the concept of saltwater. It's so strong and really kinds gross tasting, but it lingers so long, if you're anywhere within a certain amount miles from the ocean, you can smell it, it permeates everything it touches. "The Saltwater Night" is a tag off of the concept of the idea of one single night at the ocean, it can mean so many different things to everyone, but that idea that there is one night at the ocean that everyone will remember, that will be sacred to every person who has the chance to visit the ocean, it's just incredible to me. ^_^ Hope that's not confusing or weird. So I always liked the idea saltwater but never conceptualized it as a name till I stumbled upon Adam's song, which I never really liked lol.
