Trick them... circle, and get closer and closer to the obstacle. Chances are they are scared, show them you have no fear in whatever it is, and you have all day to help them not be scared. (or act like you have all day) stay calm but keep asking, eventually they will do what you ask. When they do make a big deal out of it. Praise and then finish. Put them away after they've done it right. Let them think about that over night. You'll be surprised how quickly the next day they catch on.

I have 2 Pembroke Welsh Corgi's. Aspen (mine) age 7. Dazy (dad's) age 7. Then 1 German Shepherd (my mom's dog) Lexy. She is 11. (but doesn't look or act it at all)

I'd rather be on a Saddlebred's back then anywhere else. No matter where that Saddlebred may be at. The show ring, practice or wondering around visiting cows. There is no better place then the back of a Saddlebred..
