Sometimes, I think the idea of soul mates is a romantic construction initially for writers, and then later for the silver screen. The more logical "soul mates" are those who can share with you in the love of such musicians as Aretha Franklin, Amy Winehouse, Grace Jones, Gladys Knight, among others.

Enough to know they're still dreams that haven't been realized so they're still exactly that: dreams.

I sort of fell into librarianship. I started volunteering at a university library when I was about 10 years old, as part of passing the time after school while waiting for my folks before they ended their work day. After all that time volunteering, I was able to obtain a paying job as a high school student at the same university library. Fast forward through my college & grad school years—all the library work in various cataloging departments got me through two music degrees, but more so, I got some incredible experience!

For me, this event would have to be my moving to the San Francisco Bay area for grad school at SF Conservatory of Music after having been accepted there. Truly an amazing turning point in my life!

Vacation (even if a "staycation"), travel if I can, but moreso, spend time with friends :-)
