I also eat like a little kid (seriously) and never take a job title serious like a little kid would. What you actually do is important not what people think you do.

You know, I know this is probably Asian Joe or Tazar trolling me but... I will attempt to answer. I honestly don't know. Gold or money would be too easy. They would kill the desire to accomplish because money can help you accomplish almost anything. The word "Object" kills off love, hope, dreams, and all of the romantic ideas in the world.
So my answer? I guess Mt. Dew. That way I can still accomplish things and have dreams but never be thirsty again.

I don't remember. It wasn't a question but someones "Current City" status. I said something about wanting to be in TJ and they didn't know what TJ was. They clearly don't reside in or near Tijuana if they don't know what TJ is.

either they have a really cool job that pays very little (ie. lifeguard, wet t-shirt contestant, foot model) or they are creepy.
I mean, even strippers wear shoes at work. STRIPPERS. It is their job to not have things on and they have on shoes.

Honestly, I can feel something inside me say

good benefits and hours. The pay isnt great but BET and Jesse Jackson give us tons of money every month (white people dont know this)Most white people think that you are a famous rapper, comedien, athlete, or that you might just kick their ass at any time. Which can be kind of fun but unfortunately this means the police do also. And that can be kind of not fun.

Empire because, well it is easily the best. I guess you could break that down more and say it had all of george lucas' vision and ideas as well as production, with none of his direction. Or just because it had Boba Fucking Fett in it. Nuff said.

See if you can get a job in something related. Read magazines, online stuff, get hands on with products. Then, super important, do everything you can to save up and make it out to industry shows. Partner up with someone to make it cheaper. Start a blog just to get in the habit of covering industry stuff or find a blog that is looking for people. If you are passionate about tech stuff and enjoy it, having a voice that people listen to and getting yourself in a spot where you are similar to the people you used to listen to or read helps a ton.
It might seem out of reach but ask why. Those people you read and follow had to take steps. Talent and passion can beat out a degree in the tech industry any day of the week. Meeting people at shows and having contacts is something you need to understand will help you long term.
Try to follow or meet people that know their shit. Keep in mind that you wont become best friends with someone the first night but shaking someones hand and handing them a business card can work. The next time you see them they will remember meeting you and you chat more. Then next time they say your name right of the bat. Always follow up with an email to people you meet at an event.
and I know this was all over the place, but dont be afraid to email and ask people questions. You will often get a reply back. That will help you by informing you and boost your confidence.
My motto in life is "You can figure out how to figure out anything." Basically, a chess game takes more than one move to win. Once you understand all of the moves at the start and middle, the check mate usually becomes pretty clear to see ahead. But at first, its impossible to invision it. So what are the simple things you can do now, to help you think, understand, and make more complex choices later on. How did the people before you do it?
And finally, shoot me an email. If there is something I can do or someone I might know I will be happy to help. If you go to a show I can help you avoid the time wasters and focus on things that will help you later on.

Mainly getting to see a lot of my friends again. Event wise, no matter how many keynotes I go to, I always get pumped walking in. I guess its a nerdy version of Rocky Balboa walking into the ring or something. I've been to a shitload and every single time I get excited. Its awesome to think back to years ago when I would have watched them on TV or online and thought "Man it would be amazing to be there." It really is. For me at least.
This might sound silly, but I also love sitting in what most people consider boring panels/meetings with analysts and CEO's. The value of the information there is priceless. I actually take notes on everything. I think it helps give you perspective when you listen to smart and talented people tell you about the future of the industry. If you take a group of analysts and tally up all of the projection numbers, you will find that the average of those is often dead on with what the final outcome is a year or so later. The accuracy doesn't sit with the individual but with the hive mind. So it pays to pay attention to other projections.
