This happens all the time, to every public figure. First America becomes infatuated with whatever faddish person is en vouge, then they tire of them and all of a sudden they become public enemy #1. That is why I tell people all the time not to put so much stock in the popular people of the world, because the biggest names in the world won't be in a year or two. As for Obama, the country will only have to endure til the end of this tour and maybe one more before he becomes another name in the history book and a library.

I wash dishes past the point of clean and can not have even the slightest bit of anything on them after I am done. I know that is how it is supposed to be, but I wash each dish like twice as long as they need to be. It really adds alot more time to the task, but I can't eat thinking the dish I am using is still dirty.

Dave Matthews, no question. His music is some of the most emotionally charged, powerful, and just plain awesomest in the entire history of music. No one just "feels" the music like he and the musicians he surrounds himself with. There is not one song of this that I dislike, not one. His concerts are far and away the biggest thrill rides any person could ask to experience.

To play the guitar. I have tried to learn so many times, but the art seems to be lost on me. I think of all the awesome things I could do if I knew how to put music to my lyrics myself and not rely on anyone else to fill in the dead space...

At last count 10, but I am getting older and things tend to give up...so who knows in a few days.

Well really I am an American with Mexican decent. My grandparents parent parents were from Mexico so I am pretty far removed from the mother country.
As for why I do not speak the language...when I was five years old, my grandmother tried to teach me and my cousin how to speak Spanish. I looked at her with my defiant five-year-old eyes and in my infinite wisdom told her I was not Mexican and I did not have to learn. She did not like that very much and stopped teaching me (and my cousin). I tried to take it in high school, and pick it up here and there, but really, I never got it fully.
I do wish I could go back in time and beat that little boys butt and tell him how important it would be later down the road, but C'est la vie right?
I always say though that I know enough to get another beer, find the bathroom, and get my self beat up pretty good and really, isn't that all you really need to know? -
Redheads are just like any other girl with any hair color...I don't discriminate. If I see one I think is attractive, then I am, if not, I don't. I guess you can say I am on the both sides of the coin :)

Turns out they were joking. But thank you for defending my honor. You of all people know what stress feels like lately, and the fact that I still see YOUR smile trying to work through it all is amazing.
You are an awesome friend to have and I am grateful to call you mine. -
As that may be the case, you picked the wrong day to try and be funny. I usually have a pretty good sense of humor, but lately some people have had some not so nice opinions of me and my tolerance for name-calling has worn thin.
Thank you for your attempt to make me smile and any other day it would have worked, just not yesterday. -
I have been driving since I was 8 years old.

You know, I've been kind of going through a rough patch in my life right now and while I am usually optimistic and easy going, my mood hasn't been that great lately.
By the way, thanks for kicking a guy when he is down...good to know that there are still people who are genuinely concerned for the well-being of others.
Plus if you don't like what I have to say...there's the door. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to follow me. -

I just want to be happy. I want my family to be taken care of and for us to have what we need to survive. When I am old and on my death bed, I just want to be able to look back and know that I lived my life the best I could and that I am remembered fondly by those I leave behind.

It used to be Big Red. I used to chew it everyday in high school and even into my first few years in the Army. I have slowed WAY down on my gum chewing nowadays..pretty much to nothing.

"Success is not measured by the things you own, but in the people you touch."
I don't know if anyone else said that, that was just something I am trying to live by each day. I have to constantly remind myself that the end all be all of life can not be money, because if it is, there will never be enough and I will constantly be unhappy. I just want to live my life knowing that my friends and family are relatively happy that I am alive and in their lives. -
I would drive all the way to the store, fight though at least 10 angry shoppers, 4 loitering vampires, and a homeless man that was just stopping in the store for a BM; hurdle the spill in isle while grabbing the mop and cleaning it up myself; grab a bag frozen peas and a pack of straws using them to pelt the werewolf children who have all seemed to congregate around the ice cream section thereby blocking the door to the klondike bars, and while there furry bodies are strewn about the floor due to severe pea-related injuries, I would triumphantly open that gloriously cold door, secure that magical box of chocolaty goodness, march up to the register and pay the cashier with money I swiped from one of the vampires on the way in (oh did I mention the vampires had money on them? Cause that's kind of important) and that is what I would doooooooooo for a klondike bar.

That's a tough one. Usually when I am sad, I immerse myself deep in the Counting Crows and don't come up until my soul is clean. But lately I have had the help of my beautiful Linda and Kaylee who put a smile on my face and remind me that as bad as I think my life is, I am still lucky enough to have their love and support, so I must not be ALL that bad.

Peggy Bundy... hands down. She wasn't sunshine and lollipops which made he freaking awesome. Plus she came around at a time when people were growing tired of the cookie cutter, Claire Huxtable type mom. She kick all of their asses! That is why she is the best!
