Is it acceptable for a school teacher to have a second job as a stripper/lap dancer? [26]

I hope it's acceptable for engineers as well… because how am I supposed to pay rent otherwise?!

What should I make @chrisbarmonde do while he's here? [6]

If you can get him to eat literally anything at all, I'll be impressed.

“In the early stages of spaceflight, NASA developed a technique that saved much needed fuel to return space craft back to Earth by using the moon’s orbit like a slingshot. Astronauts in space and ground control would lose radio signal once the space craft makes its way to the “back-side” of the moon and away from line of sight with Earth. They would of course regain radio signal when they reach the other side of the moon (the “flip side”). It was customary for Ground Control to say “Catch you on the flip side” before they would lose radio signal”

Catch you on the flip side Formspring…

      Passover/Easter stories? [5]

Tonight is the finale of Walking Dead, and the season premiere of Game of Thrones. So me and the boys are making weapons: I made a Dothraki Ahrak, Sean made a battle-axe, and Ryan is making Robert Barathian's War Hammer. Then we're gonna smash a bunch of zombies with watermelon heads (a literal mashup of our two favorite shows), and eat some pork ribs, and watch some TV.

      Is it Easter too?

A fond farewell to all my Formspring friends and pals. Much love.

So where do we go from here? [19]

Hawaii. Let's all go to Hawaii. Frankly, I think that everyone who works for Formspring deserves a long vacation in Hawaii as soon as all of this shit is over with.

@Ade, @Pims, you should put a donation button, and the first expense would be the Formspring employee Hawaiian vacation fund.

I WAS SERIOUS ABOUT DONATIONS, MAN!

      I know.

Trust me, we went over every possible idea to keep Formspring up. Donations, virtual gifts, memberships, more ads, etc.

While some of these ideas could have generated some revenue, it would only have been sufficient for a couple of months at most. And then we’d feel even worst for having received donations and still having to shut down.

I think I speak for the entire team when I say that it warms our heart to hear such kind words about this site and all the fabulous things it enabled. It also breaks our hearts to read all the messages that beg us to keep it running because it such an important part of your lives.

Unless a white knight gives us a call and offers its help and resources, I am afraid that there is no other alternative.
