velocity is speed with direction. its a vector value. in other words, displacement over time, when displacement is the distance from a specific point. Change in velocity per unit time is acceleration. in math, when t is time, a is accelaration, v is velocity and s is displacement,
      ds/dt=v
      dv/dt=a

an example: if the displacement of an object from point X is 5m, if the object is moved backwards along the path away from X back to point X it now has a displacement of 0m as it is 0m from X.

If it took one hour for the object to be moved, and we know that the displacement changed by (0-5=-5), the velocity is -5m/h

but the Speed is 5m/h because speed does not have direction.

Acceralation is just the rate at which the velocity increases. So if I accelerate at 5m/s^2 it means that every second I get 5m/s faster.
